Welcome back data and hope you enjoyed your vacation. Glad to see kravchenko doing well and I think we have patched up the defense enough to take us through the playoffs, but definitely something to consider in the postseason.
I don’t line either of our goalie options honestly - I guess jones since he won the last game of the year? Thompson could also get a look in the top 6 if we are struggling to score. And don’t forget to bring my king bealieu into the lineup if you need some physical presence😉One last change I would recommend is putting Dobson on the second pp at least, maybe that contributed to his slower season offensively.
Great individual seasons as well and it all came together for a fantastic regular season in the end. Now let’s see if we can break the curse of disappointing in the playoffs after a successful regular season. Rest up for the playoffs and I’ll see you at Rogers arena - go nucks!

Thanks Gaben! It was a lovely time :) Still lots on my plate in July but glad to be back in the swing of things!
Yeah, super happy about Kravchenko. Fingers crossed that he can be the longterm Hronek replacement and, possibly someday, a partner for Wallace when Hughes slows down. For the goaltending, it's hard to really have a firm belief either way but I do think the consensus seems to be game 1 to Jones and everything else will be decided based on performance. And yes, Thompson/Beaulieu getting promotions would be possible! ;) Also agreed on Dobson PP2.
Thanks for all of your thoughts and we'll see you at Rogers for the start of this next run! :)

I'm happy that I was wrong about Owen Tippett, and Kravchenko has been a really nice surprise on the first pair. Hunter Jones' numbers are a little worrying but he's a playoff monster. I just hope the bottom 6 can hold it together. Excited for the next episode let's go Nucks!

Tippett's bounce-back haas been a great surprise! I'm glad we put some trust in him even though we weren't super confident. And yes, Kravchenko has been an even greater surprise! Now time for Jones and the bottom 6 to stand strong and have it all come together for another deep run. Thanks for your thoughts and see you in the postseason! :)

40:15 if you want to replace in all lines, you have to put the player in the same spot that the person waa injured. You placed the player in 4th line

Woah woah.. Hold up.. Has that been the secret all along?? 🤣🤣 I feel like I've done that at least half of the time when it doesn't actually replace in all lines but I'll be mindful of that the next time that we get an injury to see! If so which I don't doubt, it's another ridiculous thing to keep in mind. Thanks!

I really think Dobson needs to get traded for a new #1 on the right side

I wonder if Kravchenko might be able to be that guy? 👀 The evidence seems to suggest that Hughes needs a supporting partner to be at his best and not one who's trying to take his spotlight. Definitely a question for the offseason though!

    Greetings, fellow bello.
Jones, IMO, has earned the start, given his previous history. This season has not been kind to him via the slow slim. For me, he's on a short leash for the playoffs.
Otherwise, I won't touch the lineup much. Everyone is healthy heading into the postseason. Let's just hope that the bottom six can support the top six fellas and for Jones to shake off a tough season.

Greetings, my dear bello! Roger that on Jones getting game 1. His leash may be shorter than ever with Rainer looking strong, but we know what Jones has showed us before. Aside from that, yes, nothing to touch until the postseason gets underway! The bottom 6 will have to impress if they want to gain our trust both now and in future seasons so we'll see who steps up. Thanks for your thoughts and see you for game 1! ;)

46:24 EA needs to fix the potential in this, top 9 should become top 6

    Good season overall…
It’s a shame that bottom 6 seems to be a black hole for anyone other than podkolzin. Not necessarily bad, just players not living up to there potential. Then again, even podkolzin was underwhelming. I wouldn’t change it though, after 50 wins it’s not yet worth fixing.
Jones is a tough one. I would stick with him through the postseason, but be willing to rotate if he’s particularly poor. He has too good a history, even if his peak was a few years ago.
I think we need to rely on the top 6 and first pair Dmen. We may not win it this year, but we do need to go deep. Go Canucks

Yes! It's been too bad. I'm glad that Thompson has found success but, longterm moving forward, we need to have reliable/consistent players in those roles so fingers crossed for some more growth. I honestly wouldn't be opposed to moving two or three stagnating bottom 6 guys with potential for one guy who we could put more stock in.
Agreed on Jones. His leash may be the shortest that it's ever been, but we know what he can do when in the zone during the playoffs. Thanks for you thoughts and see you for the beginning of the postseason!

    🚨🚨🚨SPOILER ALERT🚨🚨🚨
Wow, I’m happy with the second half of this season for the Canucks. It wasn’t something incredible but it wasn’t miserable either.
Markstrom with a new franchise season-high record; Kravchenko and Hughes became BFFs; and Jones has lost his momentum.
Speaking of goaltending…taking into account the top goalie stats of the season, I still lean Rainer to start the series. Let’s buy up all the umbrellas in Vegas and then make it 🌧️ and ⛈️
If we give Müller the first start, any performance below standing on his head would give Jones game 2. If we lean Jones, and despite the result then go back to Jones, does Jones just steer us through? If Rainer doesn’t get his shot, Jones may be our version of shooting ourselves in the foot. I’d love to see how a tandem result would unfold by switching goalies every game.
Great video as always! Hope you are D’Sora are having a blast with all the behind the scenes ongoings.
See you Monday night for the Zona series! Much love, MightyJoeMaple signing off.

Agreed! Some very interesting storylines to follow throughout.
The goaltending is a tough one because we're trying to balance the season results with postseason history/FM voodoo. I think giving each a game to start round 1 makes sense, but I may lean Jones/Rainer instead of Rainer/Jones and put the onus on Jones to maintain the crease. Either way, the answer should be a bit more clear headed into game 3 than it is now. Thanks for the love as always and yes, much has been going on behind the scenes but we're looking forward to having a bit more free time in August! ;) See you at the starting line for the postseason!
