From a casual 1991 video, by car on the old A354 Weymouth to Dorchester Road, highway via Redlands, Broadwey, Bincombe, to resurfacing the sharp Ridgeway hairpin bend corner. Video and commentary by Stuart Morris, the borough's Highway Agency Manager at the time. The engineer for this job at Ridgeway was Alan Muncatser of WPBC.

You can still go round the old hairpin if you go slightly north on Google Street View on the old road. Think the images are dated 2009

Yes, I found that too. I'm surprised they haven't updated that section.

@@StuartMorris7 It'll be there until there's some newer 'footage' on Streetview, and I doubt they'll send the camera car up there any time soon. I'm always surprised how quickly the old road has returned to nature now it only has cycle and foot traffic (plus the odd tractor).
