she seemed so confident until her part came on, i can tell that she panicked as her expression completely changed right before it was her turn to rap. that being said, it's a competition and even the slightest mistake could put you at a disadvantage when there are trainees who performed without making a single mistake. it seems unfair that she undeservingly made it so high in the ranks.
I say she deserves none of the criticism. Because it wasn't her fault that she was voted 1st. And I'm pretty sure shes completely aware that she didn't deserve it. Second, i had also heard that she was a vocalist and not a rapper so it was probably really difficult for her to perform the rap(considering the vocalist won't take much skill and language as a rapper)
@@d3l4lu the criticism she’s getting is out of hand, she had a typical syndrome of stage freight. i think people are aware it wasn’t her fault for being voted 1st though since a lot of criticism surrounding that is directed towards indonesians for letting it happen. i honestly believe she just panicked, i mean they practice, she had to have learned those 2 lines over and over again until she perfected them. it’s only 2 lines no matter how bad of a rapper you are, so really it was just unlucky that she panicked.

@@d3l4lu i think her mind just went blank, she did slur and rush through the “dasi hanbeon” cause she was nervous and out of breath, then added an extra “baby” at the end cause she realized she was ahead of the beat and messed up, i can sort of “relate” to what i see on this stage since i struggle with a panic disorder and public speaking so at times i’d be out of breath and my thoughts would be racing even when i’m quite literally standing still, and she was dancing for good 2 minutes before it happened + she’s just a little girl with no performing experience. i also remember exactly what i wanted to say but it just comes wrong and words are in different order even. but it takes practice, i still get nervous of course but i’ve learned how to mask it pretty well lol.

We need to keep in mind that this girl is literally a child. Shes so young, and didnt have enough practice. And its totally normal for her to be underconfident and have stage fright. im not gonna lie or defend her completely, but i honestly feel that this tell me rap isnt as easy as it seems. if u watch wonder girls' performance of this song, u wld notice that its hard to carry out a perfect energetic tone for this rap. i also noticed the same difficulty when i saw minji covering the rap part when newjeans covered tell me. personally, i feel that vanesya shld hv taken a vocal line that has fewer korean words in this song, rather than take the rap which seems easy to do, but its actually hard to carry it out very nicely & smoothly. she has a sweet voice, so i hope vanesya cld find a good agency for her to keep learning & improving! ☺

Not only does she have the confidence to perform in the first place, she also smiled & continued dancing when she knew she messed up. She kept the performance going & considering how young she is, she did a good job!
People who hated Vanesya have a valid point, she ranked high even though she ruined the Tell-Me performance, but also, the people who are hating Vanesya are the ones who know nothing about the situation, the Tell-Me group all came from different countries and Vanesya was the only one who had a different language, she was also not that fluent in Korean. if you truly watched the series you will see why she did so bad in Tell-Me and she did super good in "As I Told You" because in the As I told you performance, she got lots of help from her teammates unlike Tell-Me
