I say she deserves none of the criticism. Because it wasn't her fault that she was voted 1st. And I'm pretty sure shes completely aware that she didn't deserve it. Second, i had also heard that she was a vocalist and not a rapper so it was probably really difficult for her to perform the rap(considering the vocalist won't take much skill and language as a rapper)

@@d3l4lu i think her mind just went blank, she did slur and rush through the “dasi hanbeon” cause she was nervous and out of breath, then added an extra “baby” at the end cause she realized she was ahead of the beat and messed up, i can sort of “relate” to what i see on this stage since i struggle with a panic disorder and public speaking so at times i’d be out of breath and my thoughts would be racing even when i’m quite literally standing still, and she was dancing for good 2 minutes before it happened + she’s just a little girl with no performing experience. i also remember exactly what i wanted to say but it just comes wrong and words are in different order even. but it takes practice, i still get nervous of course but i’ve learned how to mask it pretty well lol.

im not gonna lie or defend her completely, but i honestly feel that this tell me rap isnt as easy as it seems. if u watch wonder girls' performance of this song, u wld notice that its hard to carry out a perfect energetic tone for this rap. i also noticed the same difficulty when i saw minji covering the rap part when newjeans covered tell me. personally, i feel that vanesya shld hv taken a vocal line that has fewer korean words in this song, rather than take the rap which seems easy to do, but its actually hard to carry it out very nicely & smoothly. she has a sweet voice, so i hope vanesya cld find a good agency for her to keep learning & improving! ☺
