One tip for the scamming thing. If you aren’t able to visit the apartment before you sign the lease, it’s much safer to lease from a large company rather than an individual. It might be a bit more expensive but usually nicer and less risky.

Things you must be careful while looking for an apartment:
1) lease ( sign a lease ) read everything in the document.
2) cost vs safety ( website about crime in the description)
3) roommates ( talk to people )
4) Having your own space ( separate room )
5) access to public transport.
6) be aware of rental scammer. Double check by calling them.
7) Housing groups

Hi Parth, what all documents are required for an international student (PhD) coming with family, to lease an apartment. Like I want to know how many days will i need to live in a hotel after reaching the US, till I get an apartment leased. Given that I know which apartment I want to live in and I shall waste no time in searching the apartment/ location. Thanks

You are a good man. Could you suggest what happens in the scenario where taking an apartment not so close by is ok because maybe it is easy to execute a routine in which one gets ready and goes to university in the morning and comes back only at night.

Hi sir Iam beeresh from bangalore India currently going to Old dominion university, Virginia. I just need to know how can I get green card if Iam an International student in an opmtimised way. Well, this is my curious question though hope you answer😊...!
Waiting period for green card is 150 years.
You can do PhD in a in demand subject (CS, Math, Engineering).
Also old dominion is not ranked university, try for any decent one.
