In teatro era "grandiosa", una grande interprete, altro che le Devie e Rancatore. C'era una grande "forza" nella voce e poteva smorzare qualunque suono a tutte le altezze. Canto' perfettamente pure Medea e Macbeth ed Astrifiammante e solo la Callas l'ha potuto fare prima di lei anche se con altri risultati. All'Arena di Verona, in Lucia, ebbe piu' successo di Pavarotti.
Astrifiammante non è il nome de La regina della notte. Ella non ha nome proprio, viene solo definita da Mozart: La regina della notte. É un errore nella traduzione italiana, infatti in tedesco è: "Die sternflammende Königin der Nacht", ovvero: "l'astrifiammante regina della notte", dove astrifiammante è un aggettivo, non un nome o un sostantivo. Infatti, in tedesco é scritto con la lettera iniziale minuscola.
