Playboy joke? In a Disney film? In 1979? My mind is blown. Now I'm going to have to go back and see whether Pete's Dragon was really as tepid as I remember.
She thinks the goose (which she calls a gander) is her father under a magic spell, but in fact her father has been secretly imprisoned by the evil knight Sir Mordred.
He's not even an astronaut. He's the NASA technician who built the android pilot for the mission and was sent aboard to reason with the AI right before an errant lightning bolt caused the rocket to take off.
It was originally titled "unidentified flying oddball" when released in theatres. When shown on tv it was retitled "a spaceman in king Arthur's court" which made more sense.
So I see! It was also The Spaceman and King Arthur for its UK/Ireland theatrical release. I saw it as a child in the cinema but only because Superman 2 was booked out
Well the fire burns the ropes and he get's down of the Pyre and bows to King Arthur...then because the suit has deflated it's very hot and kinda burns his ass and he runs off screaming. if I remember correctly.
"King Arthur, Could I please have a word with you, after the burning?"
"AFTER THE BURNING?!"
partly filmed in my local town Alnwick and Alnwick Castle 1978 I was 1 year old. The castle also appears in Harry potter
This was made 12 days after my brother was born
This is the strangest scene from Game of Thrones ever.

RATED G! 😂
I revisted Pete's Dragon recently, and it affirmed my sincere dislike for musicals as a whole.
Cubical: Start the burning! (1:39)

Jack Dozier unidentified flying oddball
The Spaceman and King Arthur

A Spaceman in King Arthur's Court makes more sense as this movie is a parody on Mark Twain's A Yankee in King Arthur's Court.
Then wat happen next
Well the fire burns the ropes and he get's down of the Pyre and bows to King Arthur...then because the suit has deflated it's very hot and kinda burns his ass and he runs off screaming. if I remember correctly.
The suit was built to withstand re-entry heat and is essentially fire-proof. That's why he was so sure he'd survive the burning.
