That Christopher Lee Philips card looks like it came from a graduation announcement. Im surprised the inside was not gunky, given all the stains on the outside. Interesting video!
I have a story to tell you. In Late August Early September 2013 my mom and her bff and me went to milwaukee and alomg with a box of vhs tapes they brought home the Black version of this Same combo and it sat in our garage up until i turned 11 on May 5 2014 and i brought it into my room and it worked for a year until i got a 8 hour sony recordable tape stuck in it on April 2 2015. Then it was given to my neighbor across the street and he got it out but.... The tv Portion was Serviced Sometime ago back in milwaukee because there was a soldier connection/ Component that got replaced once before and when he put the new one in when he turned it on, it blew out:( by may 31 2015 it was DONE. Manufactured September 1999.

the entire layout is photocopy of samsung tv's
I think there's something wrong with the ABL circuit. It's not a problem with the picture tube being tired.
A testament to Samsung’s quality here; whomever bought that set certainly got their money out of it.
I noticed that mode switched looked loose on the board while you were cleaning it.
I bet that thing rode around for a long time in the sleeper of a long haul trucker.
Any idea how to get into the service menu

I know how you feel when repairing a cruddy unit. Yuck :-(
The mode switch alone would have caused utter madness if not serviced.
But add the cracked buttons and madness is guaranteed lol.
Everything but the speaker and that baked crt.
Shango would love this set - if it was baked, with dead spiders and rat feces inside.

They outgrow their skin and it causes them to molt. Lizards and snakes do the same thing. Full empty
snake skin is common, like spiders, lizard skin almost never.
Its a dumpster item. It is of no value what so ever.
