Wow Brian sang it the same way in the unplugged version in 2015 and I prefer this performance over that one. So much more emotion in it.
it reminded me of the 2015 version too! i think it's because he's a lot more mellow nowadays.
Some songs don't work when they are slowed down. I find this song to be one of them. Saying that I love the original version. My opinion of course.
