So glad that someone finally addressed the fact that sometimes the greenest thing that rural people can get their hands on is Pacifica and Burt’s Bees. Love how practical and down to earth you are!
I'm pretty new to your channel. I just discovered your videos a few weeks ago. But I wanted to tell you just how much I really appreciate and enjoy your channel! The looks you create are BEAUTIFUL, but I never feel intimidated. I love that you are conscious of price and affordability, while still caring about better ingredients and quality. There's also something so calming and uplifting about your videos, which we all need right now. Thank you so much!!
Such a needed video, thank you!! People can be so intense and judge-y with their ingredients critique. I love that you’re reminding the world of RUclips/clean beauty that for a lot of people cosmetic decisions come down to convenience and affordability, and that’s TOTALLY okay. 💕
I LOVE that you did this video! I shop at Credo, Folain, Detox Market AND all the other "traditional" places (Sephora/Ulta). I'm excited for you , and the flexibility you're giving yourself now!
I had to pause the video at 9:00 to let you know that foundation looks SO GOOD on you, and, from the other end of the camera, looks to be a perfect color match as well!
I wish burts bees would step up their makeup game. They have so much potential to be great and provide more natural / cf options to people but I always have trouble with their stuff 😟 such a great video idea! It’s good to be mindful even if you’re on a budget or have limited options
This video is great! I love Physicians Formula. I was a fan of theirs before I started using cleaner makeup. Overall, I think most people know that drugstore brands aren't as clean but I think it's great that more companies are paying attention. I live in a small town and order all my stuff online but it's nice to be able to run to a store if I need something quick like PF or Burt's bees at my local Walmart. It's still better than Revlon or Loreal, etc. Plus I know not everyone can afford some of the higher end brands so drugstore options are nice.
Couldn't agree more about primers. I don't really like dimethicone primers. It causes my foundations to separate on my skin and other makeup to slide right off. Thank you for this video. I'm working hard this year to make some financial improvements and have set my cosmetic price point at $20. You look beautiful in this full face of drugstore options. It really makes me question all the money that I have spent on much more expensive products.
On the “ Think Dirty” app Burt Bees is a very good foundation, rated (1) on a scale of 1-10, 1 being very clean & 10 being toxic ingredients. I wear it every day!
I've recently discovered your channel through a friend and am slowly getting into clean beauty since then! Your voice is so calming and these videos are really helpful although i live in the uk ☺️
Super video! I also love some of the honest beauty products. Excited to see some options with cleaner ingredients and low price points. Thank you for doing the research. Also we don't have to be perfect in everything we use, just trying to be more conscious goes a long way. Thank you, thank you!
Hi Alexa ! I always really enjoy your reviews 🌸. There’s a brand at Whole Foods and Sprouts called Gabriel . I never hear anyone speak on this brand ! I’m curious if you’ve tried anything from that line??
Gabriel is a wonderful line for my normal/combo skin.. and works for most people. Their ZuZu line is formulated for oily skin types and isn't my cup of tea. Too dry for me. (I've never tried their liquid liners though!) Gabriel's pressed powder is MY FAVORITE!! They have nice lip colors too, and nice liquid foundation. I might order their liquid foundation again this summer.
Koya Moon thanks so much for the good info!! I may give the Gabriel foundation a try ! I did recently purchase 2 of the multi pots and I’m quite pleased 🌸
I found a face oil by Milani that kinda works as a primer for me. It's the Camelia prep and smooth and it's really inexpensive. Its pretty clean other than it has fragrance which I have checked what kind. They have a Rose one too.
everything looked so good, can you do more videos like this drugstore. whqo knew there were good amount of options. i also think burt bees may not test on animals only because it says in the description of there products.
I will definitely do more drugstore videos. Burt's Bees is owned my Clorox and Clorox tests on animals. I would rather not buy products where the parent company tests on animals, but that is just a personal preference.
Burt's bees just released a new tinted moisturizer and its really great for my more mature skin. It plumps the skin for a more youthful look. I found mine at walmart.
I agree wholeheartedly with you on primers. I feel that your moisturizer will do the trick! I am one that is on a limited budget for cosmetics so thank you for this video, Alexa. I do spend more on skin care though. I love the new physician's formula organic wear line and have been using it for a year. I wear the foundation, dewy highlighter, blush and glide on bronzer. The highlighter looked great on you as well as everything you tried which was truly amazing. The Found blush was better quality than the Antonym one in my opinion. I loved the glow. You could actually skip the highlighting.....this does both! Love the honest beauty lippes as well. I would like to try the lip tint from Pf that you have on........very pretty!
@@teresastackhouse6690 The ingredients are what sold me and the price point. Right now, I have been putting a drop of rose hip oil with it since my skin is more dry in the wintertime. Love it!
Hey Alexa, I just discovered your channel and I love your reviews! I’m trying to switch to a cleaner beauty routine and your reviews really help! I was just wondering if you know wether or not Burt’s Bees is actually cruelty free? I’ve heard they sell on mainland China which requires animal testing by law
I actually just found out about that through cruelty free kitty :/ at the time of filming this video, I was not aware. They are also owned by Clorox who tests on animals as well so probably a good idea to avoid the all together until there is more clarity.
I wish we had options like this in Canada at the drug store. I do not have Ulta or anything like that near me. The only two things we have that you showed were burts bees and physicians formula :(
@@lex_faceit we have all the usual ones. There is one called nude by nature and one called pur but they are not cheap at all. I wish some of the vegan cruelty free brands were better. I used to love Hard Candy and Mallini but I reaaly try to stay as clean as I can. I do appreciate all your work and efforts in all your content
Looks like that Physician's Formula pressed powder has parabens in it! At least the one I saw on Amazon has it listed on the photo. :( Super helpful video though! Thank you!
Ah, thanks! For some reason when I was looking it up on amazon it pulled up a mineral wear one with parabens listed- probably an old product! My bad! 🤭
@@lex_faceit I think maybe if they do not have ad blocker on their computer that ads show up a lot. Also, I feel Windows 10 is notorious for ads and I know I have a different operating system. I dislike ad pop ups too......it's frustrating to see.

I really like their eye primer that comes in a pot, although i'll admit- that's a pretty boring product rec :)

Ummmmm the drugstore came through, your makeup looks incredible! Especially that highlight and lip balm. I'm impressed

I love the Pacifica cherry blush and highlight palette! So pretty. I completely panned my Burt’s bees blush in peach. Have the pink one now :)
