- I know that Gunleon is the favorite of a lot of SRW fans, I can't deny too because it's one of the most badass mechas. It's a robot with a form of a Lion that fights with a Wrench, and its Magna form has one of the best designs. I don't know too much about Rand and Mel's story in the first game because I cleared only the Setsuko's campaign, but I will have to play Z again to see it. By what I've seen, in Z3 Gunleon doesn't have an upgrade but it will be able to use the Magna Mode all the time! It will be fucking powerful.
Sweet mother of god, how much of a Cool guy must you be to not only have a mech that uses literary construction equipment as weapons, have an incredible design but also just shed manly tears for those it has slain
Actually, all of these things have a lore reason for happening.
The tears are mostly for itself. The Wounded Lion Sphere deliberately went into a construction mech in the hopes that it wouldn't fight too much, but we ALL know how that went. Aside from that the Wounded Lion Sphere gets power from pain, so it's actually super painful to activate the Magna mode. The tears are basically an acceptance that this is its life now, so it has to fight.

@@shakieltaylor9995 Luckily, it gets better. Around the time Gunleon returns in Tengoku-hen, Rand and Mel have mastered the use of the Sphere. That way, it can stay in Magna Mode indefinitly without pain.
@@thunderbolt92x62 but man Setsuko still get her price for Virgo power. the sorrow maiden is nasty price without anything major power for me. while for rand the more pain he feel the more shout and spirit he get. but for sure our lucky Crow that can escape from side effect of swaying scale just by hearing coin drop.

Gunleon isn’t crying because the enemies are weak. Rather, the Gunleon itself is in pain. The Wounded Lion Sphere, in exchange for unleashing Gunleon’s true power, causes massive pain to itself and the pilot. The sphere doesn’t want to hurt anyone, nor hurt itself anymore. That’s why it possesses Gunleon, which was originally intended to be a repair mech.

@@coolblackeagle1063 No, Gunleon's Sphere is the Wounded Lion. It basically bombards the enemy and Rand with an enormous amount of pain. Thats why Gunleon cries after his final move, the Sphere is sentient and a pacifist and hates inflicting pain on others.
