This raised the hair on my arms. It’s incredible how well you translated the string/horn/bell-heavy melody to Piano. Definitely the best cover I’ve heard on RUclips. I’d love to see you almost “extend and experiment” with parts of the melody that you think could be transformed into a song of their own
Yeah - this one was a real test. I wasn't sure when I started if it would be successful in transferring to the piano, but I'm glad of the result. It's kind of hard to extrapolate small ideas to create a unique song from them, because the piece itself is almost divided into 2 parts 0:00 - 1:38, 1:39 - end, as they use 2 different chord progressions but both halves essentially have a base harmony and then layer on top of itself over and over until it accumulates in the last phrase. The only thing that keeps the harmonic interest is constant layering of making it more complex and grander, despite sharing the same chord progression.

Even though you're late with this cover, you deserve to get the most viewed video, because no other cover has those right hand arrangements you do at 2:10.
Yeah, I know I'm a little late (slightly), but I'll give it credit - this theme was epic at the time, and I only just recently played the game again, which is why I wanted to finally do this theme.
Sadly enough, I'm still waiting for it to appear on Steam... only because I'd prefer to have games and their sequels under the one platform, and I already got Crysis remastered on Steam.
So far the closest to the original. I can see the effort you've been through to learn how to play it so ably. Games were my childhood and I gew up on titles like Crysis, listening to the soundtrack back in the day was something epic. Your approach to the theme from part 2 reminds me of those days and recreates the fun memories.
Glad you approve. I always aim to keep the feel and style of the music similar when playing them on the piano. I did always like the unofficial theme to Crysis 1, but for some reason it never really ended up in the game itself.
Thank you very much. I aim to please with my arrangements. Have you heard my Zelda Ocarina of time arrangement? If you thought this was impressive, you might like that one.
Это определённо самое лучшее исполнение из всех тех, что мне встречались на ютубе. Но меня немного расстраивает то, что у него слишком мало просмотров и лайков соответственно.

This is absolutely wonderful. Generally I don't like piano covers of soundtracks that has electronic and continuous instruments in it because it usually ends up sounding very crowded like using so many notes to create the same flow (pardon my lack of actual musical terms), but your arrangement is an exception for me, it sounds very balanced especially 0:54 part truly amazed me.
Thank you very much - I'm glad you were impressed with my arrangement. I think this is in part due to Hans Zimmer is a legend at using just the right amount of notes and instruments without over crowding the music. This made it easier to arrange for the piano. Have you heard my Guardians of the Galaxy arrangement? I'd be curious to know your thoughts on that one as well.
Thank you - if you thought this was well put together, check out some of my other arrangements. I've got a 14 minute Zelda medley that's very nostalgic.
I STILL to this day have the game installed on my computer - the graphics are still excellent, and as a whole Alien taking over earth game - it's got some of the best levels and cinematics. Have you played it with the Maldo Mod? HD textures? Looks sweet as.
@@EpicPianoArrangements Couldn't agree more. Actually I had completed this game 6 years back. My Computer was only powerful enough to run it on the default graphics settings let alone use a graphics Mod😂. Will definitely try that mod though on my new PC. Thanks.
Very nice cover that stays true to the original! Love it! Also...thank you for being one of the sadly small number of talented pianists who make their covers available on iTunes/Spotify. I regret not finding this earlier!

@@EpicPianoArrangements Utmost pleasure. As a musician myself (Keyboardist but can play anything with keys on it!) I respect and support talented musicians like you! It's my moral right to do so! Keep going and all the best buddy!

Your video work is very nice. The Lighting is good. If you have the budget you could include some close ups of your hands to spice up the dramatic parts.
I don’t know much about the game, but the music sounds awesome, specially in this piano arrangement. Do you know if this written around the time Zimmer did Batman Begins? Some parts sound similar to Molossus.
It's Hans Zimmer... the music is always awesome. This would have been written a few years after the Dark Knight (it was released 2011), but yes, I do hear similarities.
I have to agree with this as well. The game was quite phenomenal for its time and I replayed it only a few months ago on a 4K monitor. The Graphics still stand up to todays games.
Hey. If you want to get more views on your channel, I recommend making piano covers of game soundtrack that wasn't covered before. The Crysis 2 theme already has a handful of covers and it is difficult for you to get top listing on the RUclips search engine algorithm. It is your channel and you should cover whatever you want, but if the end goal for you is to get more subscribers, I recommend you take my advice. I would love to see, for example, some of the lesser known pieces of music in Witcher 3. Also covering popular newly released game would be beneficial.
If you have any suggestions, I'm all for it. I'll admit, sometimes it's hard. My most popular arrangement is the one about a game that's now over 16 years old, yet Skryim theme seems to draw in very few views, despite its popularity. It's a bit hit and miss for me right now. Any particular themes from Witcher 3?
I think the White Orchard theme (although not lesser known as I said previously) would be a good candidate. It is a beautiful theme and no one has covered it yet (and I can see why it's hard to capture those string harmonics). But I will give you an example of what to arrange. The RUclips algorithm generally rewards being the first to do something. So you have to think about the game soundtrack that you like and try to cover the most popular, not yet covered that you can think of. And another idea: if you seem to get a lot of views on one of your videos you should try to cover something from the same game or the same franchise next. And make sure to annotate it in the original video. On your Max Payne video you could've easy double-down on it and cover something else from Max Payne. You have a big advantage by having a piano. Also trying to cover soundtrack with piano in it could be lucrative. And don't credit composers in the video title unless they are really famous. It's better to credit the game, the official soundtrack title and the level/location where the soundtrack is played. Players rarely know the name of the composer. Also, I don't know how much you are making off selling the arrangements, but if you make them pay-whatever-you-want or free and put "free piano sheet" in the title. I guarantee 100% you will get more hits. It is a trade-off, but in the long run, I think it will pay off. Hope this helps
Hey Techtte... Thank you for the help. I'm still trying to garner subscribers, and I'm doing this entirely on my own. The recording, the arranging, the filming etc... so it's a bit of a task. I know there are other professional pianists who get teams to do this sort of thing - I don't have the access or money for that yet. A few of the themes I've done are from famous people - Koji Kondo, Menken & Rice, ZImmer, so I'm trying to incorporate them as well. I put the names of the games etc... in the keywords title as much as possible, as I think that's what RUclips usually looks for... not necessarily the words in the title... am I wrong? The idea about free sheet music seems like a reasonable one (in theory, I think), but despite over 160K views, I'm not really earning anything from the MP3's... and I know there are some people who do provide free sheet music, but most of the sheet music they produce is of poor quality, or not properly notated. What I arrange (and again, it takes me a long while to do some of these arrangements) is as good as any commercial sheet music. I'd like to think however that the sheet music isn't really that expensive...
Hello again. You are completely right, RUclips does care a lot about the keywords, but title is just as important. A good formula is to have a title just as I described already (I think you should not use quotes in the title, it makes the title longer and doesn't really add anything to it), a video description that elaborates a bit on what the video is about (including relevant keywords) - the first 2-3 sentences matter the most, as they are the one indexed in the search results page, then you should put your corresponding links, and a few relevant keywords (5-8, something like that). Also I failed to mention this in my previous response. Use a custom image for your videos that includes: an abbreviated title of your video (possible example: CRYSIS 2 /endofline Main Theme), perhaps yourself playing and an image from the game that you are covering (a very recognisable image). Do an experiment and search for these kind of things, and you will see that is a strong correlation between what I suggest and views. On the topic of sheet music, I get you completely. You have to really think about your prospective audience. Most people that play video games and are currently learning the piano (requiring sheet music to be able to play) would be rather young (teenagers) and generally would not buy things over the Internet. I would expect a 25 year old piano player to be most of the time competent enough to play by year, thus not needing sheet music. I will give you an example on this, I found this while doing some search engine experiments: search the Witcher 3 theme Lullaby of Woe. There is a piano cover of a relatively unknown RUclips pianist (Tina), barely getting any hits on her channel. And there's a piano cover of the same theme by a RUclipsr Nightshader1 (has a couple of thousand subscribers). Nightshader made the cover 1 year before Tina, and played better, at least in my opinion. The only thing Tina did was to provide sheet music. She got 60k views in half the time Nightshader got 10k. One thing I would consider is the respect you might gain in the eyes of people watching your videos if you provide free quality sheet music, this something that is very rare. People are not used of receiving quality for free :)
Hey Techtte... I'll take that into consideration. I always thought that having a nice grand piano in the thumbnail might be impressive enough to make people click. :( As for the sheet music, that I can't do. I spend hours doing these arrangements. I'd like to think that people pay for quality. Sure there are free versions out there, but I know the quality of my arrangements are better than almost any other RUclipsr. It would be nice to get quality for free, but I have bills to pay, so it's hard to maintain a steady paycheck when you're giving things away for free.
Maximum beautiful sound
Thank you very much. I still play the game from time to time - the graphics are STILL freaking EPIC. Can't believe the game is 7 years old now.

As for the sheet music, that I can't do.
