his r5 got new buff for damage by 3 allied troop, so he is good on high command scenario under troop category. But of course troop still loses out compared to DD category so its more non meta.
nice question! i actually tested it after the update, the problem lies with 1. low scaling %, u nid high command and impact still minimal 2. it only affects formation UNIT, no commander. So sauron is still best in this. Unless we could do some new niche with it.... let me test and update this list with more low spender frenly builds too

yes its super strong 3 support team now, but of course there is alot meta or non meta we can play as long we enjoy them

yes it is, it become viable now but of course whale have way better option using DD.
