@@johnbollig2790 Fantastic! Send in some pics of the 30s kit and we can add it to the next build vid so everyone can see what the earliest FROG kits looked like. Thanks for watching!
I built a frog bleriot a few years ago. Not a bad kit for its age and scale. John Moisant was a pioneering aviator who flew a bleriot. Unfortunately he was killed when he fell out of it in kenner Louisiana. For many years the New Orleans airport was known as Moisant Field
Remember this one- made very early on in my modelling- recall the fact that it had the undercart scribed onto the lower wing for in flight!. Still liked it as it was the only one you could get and it was a good starter to build when you are 5 years old in 1962. Had a Spitfire Mk 1 that was the same. BTW subscribed as I am loving your channel.
@@peterhewson3216 I agree, it looks bigger than it is in pics. Even in real life it doesn’t look that small. When you put scale models of it next to others thats when you can really see the difference.
Of it's era, but I'm surprised that they included the cooling fan. I think it could be an A-3, as the later versions had a different antenna wire attachment on the fin. Good vid, lots of info about the moulds that I never knew about. Thanks.
There is something you don't see very much of these days, FROG kits. I guess this was the only game in town if you wanted to build a 1/72 scale FW-190 until the better (but now very dated) Airfix offering in the early 70s came around on their blister packs.

Every time i see a beautiful woman i think: "she's the most beautiful woman i've ever seen"...then, i see another beautiful woman, completely different, and i think the same. With planes, it's the same: when i see a 109, a Zero, a Spit, a Mustang i think they are the most beautiful aircraft i've ever seen...then, here comes the 190! 🤣😂🤣
An antiquated expensive waste of space they are not! We the right attitude, skills and love I have seen some amazing builds from these old Frog kits. Especially from the older moulds.
@@CelebratingVintageModelKits Sounds like he saw some of these now ancient kits on eBay going for collector prices and it put a sour taste in his mouth! As long as it isn't a dreadful Starfix model kit, these old FROG and Airfix kits are buildable and if done well enough still presentable at any IMPS contest but with the understanding they most likely would never place unless extensively modified to have better details or placed in the "Built Out Of Box" category. Even Hasegawa kits from that era are very simple and toy-like compared what they are capable of today, don't let Grumbles get you down.
I have 53 frog kits. Most are from the 1960's and 70's . I do have a Frog Interceptor kit from the 1930's, Love frog kits.

Hello again greetings from the UK I remember this kit happy modelling everyone 👍
I thinks some of the FROG Axis kit moulds went to Revell.
@@tonyburrett9950 Yes, quite a few did. They reengineered some of them like the Ar-234. Making the 4 engine version.
Wonderful
Thanks!

Sounds great! Did you build it with or without the pilot? Lol!
Didn't have a sitting pilot but there's a standing figure. Would look so wrong laying down
I have that kit, bagged with a header-card, under the 'Novo' brand.

FROG always seemed to make some if the kits that others weren’t making.
Any Fairey Gannets in your stash?
It’s an aircraft I love!!
I don’t think there is but I will check. There is a FROG Sea Fury and a very early FROG Canberra on the short list coming up.
Ps I built some of the frog kits that were re-released by NOVO which were made in the former USSR and sold here in the UK 👍
Fantastic! I know FROG molds have been kicked around the world. I built a few back in the day and didn’t even know they were FROG

Sorry that should have been Maxsmodels 😅
Max has some good vids on company histories. His info has found its way into my vids.
