Think the mistake in the draft was definitely picking flinger over tar creeper, hindsight, but I think that pick gets you to 12 more often than not
Very hard to say if that actually helps you get to 12 more often, and at that point in the draft it still made sense to try and get the excavates. So I don't see that as a mistake at all.
