ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

so this. HoxPox is a new golden age, but seems many are still sleeping on it. I agree the Prof figure could use a bit more details like pinlines on the suit and the right color on the helmet (wtf, the x is usually white) but its ESSENTIAL look for krakoa xmen and im psyched to have him. Rasputin, Douglock, Cardinal, and others demand a Krakoa wave2. toys for contemporary media, CRAZY RIGHT?

I think Shartimus has said he read it. I cant believe he said he's not a fan of Hickman's writing. I for one love the whole story. It's a game changer right up there with House of M as far as effect on the Mutant landscape. But to each their own I guess.

It’s really interesting, because this is the first wave I ever ordered the entirety of! I guess it’s all down to your relationship with the characters; I connected so much to HOX/POX that I’d consider these ‘my’ X-Men, moreso than even the Jim Lee era ones. I adore the Xavier figure, and love having my shelf match how the X-Men look in my mind! (Fingers crossed for a X of Swords wave 👀)

@@jeffkraft8037 so many cool Krakoa-era characters. Excalibur-magic Apocalypse, Rasputin and Cardinal, Betsy Captain Britain, Douglock, Red Queen Kate Pryde, Krakoa BAF?, with a krakoan gate pack in... sign me up! then all the Arrokoans from X of swords > AoA leftovers!
so the reason this character isn't on panel much is that he is essentially a future sentinel design from 100 years in a possible future, and that time period sequence its in is just a moment in a huge story. PoX is Powers of "Ten" and covered origin year, now (year 10), 100 years from now, and a 1000 from now. in 6 of the 12 issues HoX/Pox relaunch. so the year 100 stuff was only a small bit, but huge to the story, like a modernized Days of Future Past. its when Nimrod is from, and this is essentially a mass produced shock troop of sorts, could be a troop builder robot really and i bet we see a zillion together one day in a comic. We should have gotten Rasputin instead of Omega Sentinel imo, to fight this guy, but likely will eventually. Hoping for her in another PoX wave soon! we WILL see more of the future timeline I think, but there has been very little of it or Moira since the end, but it will come back HARD soon when Moira emerges from her No-Place...
Why dont you like Hickman's books? You said you love Morrison, who is my fave by alot, but Hickman is a close second, due to his trippy smart connectivity. You really should try Hox/Pox again, it seems like you didn't finish it or really read it, and that is clear from most of the comments many of your audience is unaware too. As an XMen focused fanatic thats read it since #201 in the late 80s, Im more excited about Xmen now than in over a decade (Since Morrison basically!). Get on board its a great ride right now with new energy! I think Marauders and Hellions are maybe the best of the rest to me, but the entire line is better than average and the strong cohesion is a large part, so I'm enjoying reading the side books more than I might have. Fallen Angels was the only real Dawn of X dud to me.
to everyone seeming bummed about this X-wave: We expect toys to release alongside movies and TV content, and this wave is exactly that for comics! this is...GREAT! we need timely comic toys for a change, which we DEMAND from film and tv. I must say, everyone complaining about this wave doesn't seem to have actually read any modern Xmen comics and it shows, which is huge bummer, as its a new golden era. Marvel toys are not just cartoon or childhood nostalgia, im excited its now for posing for NEW books i get at the shop, YES!!! The XMen is the best selling superhero line again for first time since the 90s Jim Lee era thanks to the House of X relaunch (it really IS a clean slate starting point), the fanbase is cranked up and everything is connected story wise. there are TONS of new cool designs like Rasputin and the new Arrako guys etc to mine and new costumes and pretty much ANY character or look works in a diorama on Krakoa since all mutants are welcome and costumes are fashion. get excited, this is what Xmen are now, and i bet some elements of Krakoa end up in their eventual MCU entrance.
i'm SO much more excited for more Krakoa stuff than more AoA. After modern, I'd like them to get back to the late 80s designs to go with Mohawk Storm. classic Banshee first to finish that era, and red Hound suit Excalibur Rachel, as its criminal we dont have her yet! and pack her in a wave with a proper ShadowCat,. then I want Green/black punk Rogue, Red/white vest or shirtless outback Colossus, English pre-JimLee Psylocke, maybe even Malice Polaris! and we definitely need a good winged Angel and Human Beast for several eras!
I dont agree at all with how you characterize Hickman's writing style or think the data pages are used to tell not show. he is a master planner that pays off long term concepts later. His data is used to setup big ideas and complement (org charts, timeline plotted out, in universe newspapers...) not replace, and other writers in line use them in cool different ways too. He really is the best mainstream trippy writer for Vertigo-type readers that like superheroes too for me. His Secret Warriors and Time Runs Out Avengers story into Secret War were other Marvel bangers..but if you really want to see what i think hickman is all about, check out his creator owned books: Manhattan Projects (has Telsa and einstein and more), and Black Monday Murders. great stuff!

Hell no. HOX/POX kicked off what will go down as a legendary era. This is easily the best paradigm shift we've ever seen for these characters, and we'll be reaping its benefits for years to come.

I actually really like the marble effect on the figures. It catches the light like a polished piece of quartz.
Now we need someone to make some bendy wire neck pieces in different lengths that can port into the figure’s body and head pieces, so we can mess around with some awesome poses.

When I first heard about a house of X wave I was hoping for some new characters like rasputin or something. But if you're really into house of X it's a solid wave but definitely hoping for more in future waves.
Bendy-wire necks (slightly longer, with a tighter connection between heads/body) would have been pretty cool.
The only figure I like from this damn wave is the BAF. Just gonna have to just buy it off eBay from someone.

she was #1 on mine as she wears this look in so many classic comics. will look at why he was disapointed withthe figure, but this is her most iconic look for any early Xmen stuff. now i want human beast in red and blue, and eventually angel in that horrid yellow outfit to complete the first new costumes lineup :)

My problem is the swivel elbows that female figures keep getting that kills the articulation & posability. Also the heels when 90% of these characters don't have those. I have to make sure I've a stand or it just keeps falling.

Wow! The Theta Sentinel is a pretty bad-ass looking figure! I would actually use it with my Black Series figures. I really wish that all the BAF's would eventually be released as Deluxe Legends.
As a 25-30 dollar figure, it looks like a must have!

Sooo does anyone have a problem with the arms not popping in at all? Mine goes all the way in but just falls right back out…
the heads on mine were so fucking hard to plug in. like the holes were too shallow and the pegs too big. everything else was super easy to put together

As a X-Men fan this is the most disappointed I have been in a entire wave. And I hated half of the sauron wave, mainly the deadpool side of that wave. Even the figures I was looking forward to the most in this wave Hasbro completely missed the mark on. Like marvel girl's crappy articulation or omega sentinel not looking right with the alternate head. The only passable figure is moria mctaggart imo. I'm definitely gonna wait into this wave is on sale on amazon. Here's to hoping the aoa wave 2 Kicks this wave ass or the rumored retro X-Men wave this year. Along with a Excalibur wave or boxet this year.

@@jamesabele I was reading up too apocalypse war but than I took a break because I didn't have anymore room for comics. Came back for power of x because I was interested in it . But imo hickman's X-Men has been a dispointment so far compared to his fantastic 4 or avengers run. So i don't know if I want to continue it. Powers of x was ok but X of swords was boring imo.
@@Dangerousflower918 i hear you on room for comics! i think HoxPox is one of the absolute best comics ever personally, so...yeah. i think it eclipses his early avengers run easily, we'll see if he sticks landing, which was my fave part of his avengers run! Im still halfway though FF, and its just fine to me but good. its his creator owned stuff that i think is best work next to HoxPox. Swords was unexpected.,..but i ended up liking it, the hickman parts were VERY strong i thought, just alot of fluff. to each his own, but i am IN, and xmen has always been my focus. he hasnt even gotten back to Moira angle yet! longterm plans just like Avengers...they will pay off i believe it!

Glad Shart shares the sentiment, & sense of frustration that repaints bring to most collectors. Except Moira, & Omega this wave's a pass
i dont get this at all. for me, legends are about lineups, and characters change the colors without the basics often. if you are actually reading Xmen in the last year, this is exactly what you would want. cyclops visor and belt and gloves ARE different, as are alot of small wolverine details, just like the comic design. yes, i want original designs where they matter (Rachel Summers, where are you?), but i want the core lineup members of different eras, especially with how dynamic xmen has been. and they just had a VERY successful reboot which this supports.
They need to revisit the 80s era to give mohawk storm more friends, bring on a colossus and rogue redo! after they wrap up the 70s with a proper banshee finally.

Shame cause i really like the new xmen designs
When its all said and done and put together its mixed feelings for me. The idea that this is from X men is just weird and feels kinda out of place, so its a pass for that. On the other hand though my mind also goes straight to Reboot. Some horrible data corruption happened and Megabyte got merged with Hack. Hack being the torso with Megabyte being the limbs and the heads are some weird combination of the two. Hell toss Slash in to be the third head I guess. It just doesn't come off as X men. The tri sentinel looks too cartoony, and I don't mean that in Jim Lee or Joe Madureira way.
Side note, is it just me or does the BaF art almost look like one sentinel going down on another? >_>

Maaaaaaaaaan.....this is one godawful looking figure. I definitely coped the Marvel Girl and Moria Mctaggart (She'll be joined by Banshee someday) I didn't read any of the books so no affinity for any of the others. Got the Magneto simply because he looked awesome.

@@jamesabele Read comics since the 60's. I remember her when they introduced her. So any changes they made to the character after the fact makes little difference to me. If the comics were interesting to me, then I'd probably pick them back up. But the drivel that they are putting out today just isn't for me. As you say tho, to each his own. Different era's of reading I suppose.

you MUST read HoxPox. total reboot, everything is new again. no need to catch up, start there. new golden age. lots of fresh ideas, and whole line is in sync too. because of that...this is EXACTLY the xmen line i wanted, but id have included Rasputin over Omega sentinel in wave1...
