Wala nyo lang na nchindihan ang full story sang concept ( the 3 datu brothers) mas ok na gd nga may backround retwal song para mas ma inchindihan sang mga tumalan aw ang gina perform nila..kag isa pa ok gid ang drum beat nila indi tungod may retwal song kasadyahan na...inde man nila ma agom ang best in music kon indi na amo knami sang music nila...drumbeat#retwalsound=best in music... Okay lang maovertime sila, HINILAWOD in its original version takes 3 days to finish. It's hard to compress one of the longest epics in the world under 8 minutes. Very good performance. :)

The term "Hinilawod" generally translates to "Tales From The Mouth of The Halawod River". The epic must have been commonly known to the Visayans of Panay before the conquest, since its main protagonists, like Labaw Donggon, were noted in the accounts of the Islanders' beliefs and recorded by early Spanish colonizers
too artistic na imo, there was a time na grabe ang choreography sang sa-ot ang drums grabe .......subong......artistic nalang nga daw me storya......im a proud ilonggo .......but i dont like what dinagyang has morphed into.
someone said this entry belongs to the KASADYAHAN?!? ahaha! think again. it's not only about the "DRUMBEATS" hijo. you're just a spectator. if wala ka sense of artistry, then, you can't dig the reason behind why DINAGYANG Ati Competition has to do its staging at this level. it's only a matter of PERCEPTION. CHANGE is the only permanent thing in this world. even in festivals. gone were the days when we were just presented with plain drumbeats and dancing, this time, it has evolved into CLASS, SOPHISTICATION and CULTURAL RELEVANCE with the focus on SR. STO. NINO. kung di mo pa gid maintindihan, te, sa imo na na ya. haha!

This entry belongs to the Kasadyahan Competition on Saturdays, Not Ati Dance Competition. Where was the dancing, where was the energy and snappy choreography, where was the explosive drumbeats that Dinagyang Ati Competition was known for? Not taking away from what Panayanon has done here, it was great. But their performance belongs in the Kasadyahan Competition, Not the Ati Competition. Opinion ko lang ah. Wala lang pikon bala kay sakto man ko. hahaha
Sorry for the audio recording, malayo abeh ang mga drummers so medyo mahina ang drum beats :) Peru if ara ka didto nami man ang mga music same man sang una nga mga dinagyang, mas nag nami pa gd gane siguro subong... hehe
Just an observation po. The performance was great but definitely not a religious dance or dance of merry making for me. It looks like a demonic ritual parang sinasamba pa ang mga Halimaw sa ritual and the music sounds creepy. The image of Sto. Nino was never emphasized which is the main reason for the celebration.
I'm ashamed to call myself an Ilonggo not having to know what Hinilawod is. Good thing Panayanon showed me.

aswang are scared on tribu aeta for your info sa capiz yan ang aswang at negros for your info not in Iloilo city even Muslim scared on ilonggo
