I disagree with you! I think it is a very nice town. I would be happy to stay there longer. It is great. I am hoping to get some time walking in the Pollino mountains soon! You write English very well. Best wishes from Lublin, Poland!
It's very funny I tease my cousin Giuseppe for the rivalry be Civita and San Lorenzo Belizzi I tell him your really Albanian and my grandfather from San Lorenzo was a true Italian .San Lorenzo is at the gateway to Pollino park and also the famous Ragonello canyon
Thanks George - I will let you know when I get there again. I find it very interesting to know that the town was founded by escaped slaves. Spartacus attempted to escape to Sicily where there had already been slave revolts so it is logical that people would stay in isolated areas like this where they were relatively free from harrassment by the Romans authorities.
You should drive a bit east and through the town of Francavilla Marritimo take the road into the Pollino mountains and reach my granfathers village of San Lorenzo Bellizzi
The town is small the main restaurant in the town square go in there ask where Giuseppe Vincenzi lives they know him well he was a town official An interesting fact Civita was founded by Albanians while San Lorenzo Bellizzi was founded by the escaped slaves of sparticus
Not really go to the center of town there is the main restaurant ask where Giuseppe Vincenzi lives they know him well he was a town official tell him cugino George from Chicago sent you ciao
Thank you so much for this video, I Love My Little City!!!

I hope to do this. I really like the Pollino mountains. However last year in December it was a bit cold - in June it was really nice.
