I give them no credit for the way Flint came out compared to the advertisement. Put him and Duke side by side. You’ll be able to tell the failure in the head sculpt and lack of paint right away. Flint looks like a flea market pick up
....the lack of head paint is 100% unacceptable for the price we are paying! If this is the new quality standard for all waves going forward. Then I am out on this line. They should cut accessories to bring the paint quality back up to the same level. An Super 7 100% should give us pack in replacement PAINTED heads in a upcoming wave for ALL of the unpainted heads that were in wave 2!!! This company is loosing our trust HARD AND FAST anymore with the constantly HEAVILY INCONSISTENT paint quality or QC problems!
couldn't have said it better I have been pushing for this line with all of my friends being told that this line is going to be terrible. Wave one came out it was great and now I'm standing here with egg on my face with my friends, saying see told you you could never trust them. Very disappointing.
Im all in. I prefer the look more than anything else. We never had the cartoon pop up in front of us. This is for collectors who dont care about articulation.
I pre ordered these based on the last wave being good, and the pictures advertising these. Last time i do that. Lady jaye and flint's faces look comically bad compared to what was shown/expected.
Thanks for the review. You are being too generous on the default head & the one with the headset. They're not that great & the eyes are terrible. The smiling head is the best of the 3.
Way back in 2014 or 2015, there was word that Super 7 was picking up the Masters of the Universe Classics figure line from Mattel. I was skeptical, as I had never seen Super 7 produce anything besides cheap, plastic, Party City grab bag toys and wind up dinosaurs. Well, looking at the quality of its 6" and 7" figures, I can say that Super 7 still produces cheap plastic Party City grab bag toys, just in larger scale.
The paint missing on the face and arms is a big miss. The price point of Super 7 makes it so that the figure needs to be absolutely outstanding. Classified figures have their issues, but they're less than half as much upon release. And, honestly, I like the feel of the classifieds more than many Super 7 figures.
You are far too kind on liking the head sculpts on Flint, they are abysmal. Sure this is cartoon Flint but the art renders for this looked like the Sunbow version & looked good. Duke looked much better. For the price point, the head/faces need to be far superior to what these finished pieces look like. I’d go so far as to say they make the entire figure look like a cheap knock off toy. Only a heavy discount will get me to purchase. $25-30 tops.
@@NeedlessThings It has nothing to do with taste or perception..it has to do with quality. The quality of those heads are bad. Compare it to the Duke figure. It’s likely a different factory made this wave & for the worse. Super 7 need better QC.
Regardless of how you want to categorize our difference of opinion, you're absolutely correct that Super 7 needs to reign in the QC and get some consistency. The figures need to match and the parts on the figures absolutely need to match.
@@NeedlessThings We agree on the quality issue. Several others have also commented on the poor head/faces of this particular figure. It’s sad, Flint is my favorite Joe.
I just can't justify the price. To me, these are $32 dollars. That's the price point where I would consider collecting these. For $55, they needed to be better articulated and better executed. I have Cheetarah and Steelheart and I am just not all that pleased with their value at the price point they came in at. I admire their design aesthetic and I appreciate the nostalgic look, but I don't see these as better than Classified. I am also just realizing that the weapons don't have blast effect holes. So, these really aren't designed for setting up action-oriented scenes. They appear to be mildly-articulated statues; which I know a lot of collectors basically want. They're going to pose them up and put them on the shelf. I keep watching these reviews, hoping they'll excite me into getting them, but they apparently aren't for me. :(

Great review! I love seeing these figures reviewed!
Amazing review! Thank you

Great looking figure and representation of the Sunbow series. I love that backpack too!

"Not that great" is fair.
I wish they would go back to the string twist ties. It was so easy to just twist them off. Where did you get those plastic clippers?

Loved the review Flint might be my favorite one so far

Any recommendations for a stand that fits the peg pole on the bottom of the feet
None that I have fit. It's a smaller, shallow hole for such large figures.
@@NeedlessThings it would be cool if someone put out something similar to the ones that came with 80's figures
where did you get these figures?????????????????/
Super 7

We each perceive things in our own way. It looks exactly like the animation to me.

Fortunately there's a huge variety of toys out there to choose from!
