The only cologne I have ever worn that literally got a compliment every single time I wore it was Santa Fe (discontinued late 80's Shulton fragrance). It was about $20 in drug stores now, when you can find a bottle its about $130. I came across an old bottle a few weeks ago in the back of a drawer. It hada developed a slight alcohol smell from degradation but I put some on for nostalgia. Sure enough.... Wife and daughter....."you smell nice...". Old faithful. I sure wish someone would give the woody, warm spicy, powdery, cinnamon and patchouli an upgraded more modern take. I have never found a fragrance that was close to the Santa Fe scent profile and nothing comes close to its complement factor.
Burberry Touch was my signature scent for many years. Need to revisit ASAP

This list just taught me that my cologne tastes are stuck in the late 1990s! In my youth, I had a different cologne for each day of the week and it worked, so this is my all-time list:

My girlfriend absolutely loves Ferragamo F Black. I bought it at TJ Maxx a couple years ago on clearance. After Armaf Tres Nuit, F Black is her favorite.
Hawas is a damn beast bruh. It came out before Invictus Aqua 2016 so Paco Rabanne copied Rasasi. This thing gets 12+ hours longevity, beast mode projection & it's a warm weather fragrance! LOVE Hawas.
Great review Ross! Rasasi Hawas is my most complimented fragrance in my collection. I get at least 8 hrs longevity easy and several days on clothing. It's a beast and compliment magnet! 🔥

I wouldn’t call the Burberry or Versace “cheapies.” They were flagship frags for their respective companies 10-15-20 years ago.
Burberry Touch will always be in my collection. I love Hawas it's the real deal and the bottle will last me because I can only do one spray. Crazy compliments with Hawas.

I own most of these, and completely agree. F Black was definitely not a "love at first sniff" for me. The opening smelt like melting rubber to me. But it's always had a phenomenal dry down. And I have grown to really enjoy the opening also.
Versace Pour Homme is one I would recommend if someone said "I want one that's impossible to hate". But I never put it in the cheapie category cuz I kind of spent too much on mine. lol But it was worth it.
I wore Versace pour home for years,but I will be wearing missoni wave more often this summer.one of my new favorite cheepies
Rasasi Hawas is incredible stuff for compliments and performance. The projection and sillage is straight up NUCLEAR bomb. It's my go to summer date fragrance
Another great video. I was kind of surprised that No Montblanc fragrance made it especially Legend Spirit.

Zara has so many great fragrances for cheap. I have several of their fragrances. One of their best is their leather series. I'd definitely check it out. Great vid!

I wore Zara Extreme 9.0 on Friday, & got an insane amount of compliments! All from women- it has a “lipsticky”, make-up bag Iris/Orris note that smells so good! It definitely gives off Dior Homme Intense/Valentino Uomo Intense type of vibes, without smelling exactly like either one. It’s a good fragrance with a gorgeous dry-down IMO. Women certainly like it! 🤷🏾♂️✌🏾

@@zzirfamo24 I feel like it’s average, to slightly above average. It worked well with my skin chemistry, and was still detectable hours later into my wear. It’s worth a try, if nothing else. I picked up Extreme 9.0, and Exteme 12.0 in a bundle for $30, plus shipping & taxes etc. I’m satisfied with them both!

I know that the price has gone up recently, however, I would include S. Ferragamo Uomo Signature. I paid $30 for for a 30ml recently.

Im a college student and my everyday cologne is either Nautica Voyage or K dolce gabbana and I bought a dior clone that I use everyday. I have a good collection aswell but just rather use cheapies for college lol
I’m wear Bentley Man intense today for the first time but I’ve had the fragrance almost a year. It’s pretty cold today I did 4 sprays on skin and 3 on shirt and I’ve gotten a compliment and nobody has said I’m killing them. Lol
Shocked that Perry Ellis 360 Red made the list but really like it. Hawas is great and glad that it made it. If nothing else to push you at least try it. IG came through and can’t wait for another list. Niche is probably next
On my skin Shock reminded me of Tom Ford Noir Extreme.

Great video, Ross! I never reach for nautica voyage unless I'm working out, know I'm gonna be sweating a lot or the weather is too hot for any cologne with good performance and projections. Don't know though how people can diss it. I don't have any cologne that's affordable and perfect to overspray in the gym to cover sweat without offending anyone

Great list. Can't argue with any of them. That said, IMO 2 of the most underrated, under appreciated, underowned, no one talks about cheap fragrances that are MONSTER compliment pullers are Calvin Klein Reveal and Penguin Rocks. Women absolutely love both of these. Reveal is sort of this ideal blend of fresh, sweet, and airy while Rocks is this powdery candied apple

Have 1/2 of these good list . Glad to see 360 Red here . A few weeks ago you had a video on fragrances that should be retired and you mentioned AdG . I agreed with you in that video and on here . If I want AdG I reach for 360 red which to me is 98% and a touch better and 2/3 cheaper , I reach for AdG profumo if I want a modern take on that classic worth the price , and if I want a 1990s fragrance similar and in Liu of AdG I reach for my easiest reach / take to solitary confinement L’eau D’Issey Pour Homme which I’m shocked didn’t make this list .. lol
I never bought AdG because of the price point .

Recently sold my Nautica Voyage I had for years. Solid for the price. Also gave my F Black to a friend. Solid and great performance for the price. I just wasn't wearing it. I would think that plenty of the offerings from Montblanc would be up there too.
Ross plz try the Zara RW&A. Great cheap cold weather/ date night fragrance. You'll love it for sure and it's like 20 bucks. Blind buy..... You won't be upset....6.5/7 outta 10 fragrance
Versace pour homme as the "king of the office"

Now i never deamed prada lhomme to be king of the office!
However, Prada Amber Pour homme and Prada Luna Rossa Sport are my "kings of the office"
Just picked up burrberry touch and if i like it, then it may be added to the office rotation.
I tested versace pour homme before and really liked it but never purchased- need to revisit this one.
I tried a sample of Hawas. It's nice. I've never smelled the Invictus Aqua, so I can't compare but it does smell like Zara Summer Seoul and that's Zara's Invictus Aqua clone. Hawas is just stronger. Apparently Hawas came out before Invictus Aqua so they may have been cloning Hawas.
That's hilarious. I wore 360 Red to the gym. Where I am right now watching this. And I'm choking myself out right.
Yeah, 360 Red is a beautiful thing, but it's no weakling. It will surprise you if you get reckless with the trigger! I had it happen to me once.
Another one that's similar in that respect is Jean Marc Paris - Tattoo Jungle Man.
Just got Hawas 2022 batch. It's not as beastly as my sample decant but still very good. I have Legend Spirit but Hawas just has so much more character.
Rasasi Hawas is a beast mode version of invictus aqua 2016, that is enough to be considered one of the GOATS...

Im going to put you guys on with my top 5 cheap colognes. Original Penguin original blend and Original Penguin Rocks are two of my all time favorite colognes period. Cheap or not. 20-30 bucks at TJ Maxx/Marshalls. True Religion drifter and Burberry for men are two others that i'd put on this list. Those two are my gfs favorites. I'd round out my top 5 with Nautica voyage. Classic go to.

I have Hawas wore it a couple of times , love the color and the scent I just like knowing it's in the collection...great list
Hawas is my #1 most complimented fragrance of all time. However go easy on the trigger and not too close to the nose. More than two or three sprays of Hawas in the summer heat can be absolutely nuclear. If I spray it too close to the nose, I start to get sick of it after an hour or so even though it’s one of my favorites.
I recently bought Hawas due to the hype of it being a beast and smelling good. Well it does smell good ill give it that but it doesn't project like people say it does.
@@PIMPSTA951 it's possible you are going anosmic to it. Happened to me on a date and the bartender asked me what I was wearing, 5ish Hours into the wearing.

@@PIMPSTA951 You aren’t the first person I’ve heard say this, so perhaps there’s some crazy variation between batches that I wasn’t aware of. Kinda like how some people get 20+ hrs from PDM Herod while others only get 1 hour apparently? All I know is 3 sprays of my bottle of Hawas fills a room for the first 8-10 hours and remains easily detectable well beyond the 12 hr mark.
@Enceladus I've heard its been reformaled. I have a purplish liquid bottle and i seen a more clear variation. They say it dosen't affect performance but man its a huge let down for me. Only one fragrance that last 10+ hours and still notice it on me and that is CDNIM that thing is a Monster/Beast.

I was gonna say what, no CK shock and then I see it! LOL
I have a few Zara fragrances and kinda cheap BUT I have two that are exceptional! Intense, Dark, Exclusive is the cousin to Rich,Warm,Addictive but doesn't get the same love. Good tonka bean, creamy night scent. And Weekend till 8pm is a 97% clone of Abercrombie and Fitch First Instinct Together. Top and base notes are almost exact but Zara is a tad creamier in the drydown sweetness. Very minimal difference. Great video. I totally missed the survey so I will be looking out for the next one.
Looks like a nice list for sure, the only one of them that I've smelled on it that I absolutely cannot stand is Nautica Voyage. That being said, I like Burberry Touch rather well and have gotten multiple compliments wearing it, but my undisputed favorite from this list is 100% CK One Shock. I have a couple dozen scents I rotate through, and Shock is probably my favorite of all of them. Really need to get more tobacco fragrances in my line 😅
Same here I thought it was only me I can't stand nautica Voyage 🤮🤮.. I also don't like aquatics as well tho but this is just NOOO. Ck SHOCK is the best one out of all of these and I've tried all of them! .
I fell asleep wearing Nautica Voyage and woke up with a migraine now any time I smell an aquatic I want to throw up.

I like aquatics over all, but there's nothing redeeming to Voyage to me, there's just something about it I cant stand. I know we're in the minority of hating voyage 😅

Burberry Touch is the truth as well as 360 red.. But in my opinion Nautica Voyage is ok nothing special.. I prefer all the other Nautica fragrances over the regular Nautica Voyage
Zara Rich Warm smells nice but nice like an Ikea candle. VPH is just a pleasant citrus, with low performance and super hyped

As far as HAWASS there are 2 formulas if you can look for the original or old formula. You will like it either way. F Black works great in the winter.

And, on cheap fragrances below 50$ do try Aigner's X Limited, it's a cross between aqua de gio and CK one but with superb projection unlike what it dupes. And, it comes in 250 ml packaging making it rather a steal and not a buck but a blast for this price 🤩
Bentley intense is good because it can stand on it’s on. It’s a masculine smell tho lol.

Sacred is hands down the best cheapie I’ve smelled. The caveat is that it’s $35 to ship 🚢 but if someone is silly enough to sell in a group BUY IT!!!

Hawas is good. However, smells synthetic for sure. Still good, but my nose definitely can smell the synthetic quality almost to not like it. Though I will still reach for it, but my hesitancy is the synthetic smell.
My nose is evolving. And there’s times I hate synthetic smells no matter how beast mode the fragrance is. And Hawas is beast mode certified.
Anything above 3 sprays and you’re going to get noticed from the other side of the building.

I mean..i have both the original and the Intense versions. They're both fantastic colognes, a joy to own, and i don't feel it's redundant to buy both if pockets allow. But the Intense just gets most of the attention.
The original For Men is plenty loud, more versatile for weather & various events, and controllable by watching your sprays.
I'd say both exude "masculine with class" though 😎
