I am encouraged by this video to not just focus on what I am doing for the Lord, but to think about how I can pass on the work of ministry to as many other people as I can who will come after me!

I’m not sure why I found myself crying while reading 2 Kings 2 yesterday, but truly brought me to tears! Reading how Elisha wanted to stay with Elijah, and then Elisha seeing Elijah going up in a whirlwind to heaven, both were men who the Lord used in mighty ways! I think for me it hit me as to how I long and must be the light of Jesus to my kids, grandkids and great grands!! One door that is open for me is with 2 of my great granddaughters who are learning Bible verses and I told them I will learn the verses with them and we can tell each other and talk about what God is saying in these verse!
The Lords work must not stop with me as a mom but go on to the next generations!!
Pastor Bobby and team thank you for SOTD!

So thankful for these videos! God’s word is going to go forth but what an honor it is that he uses his people to share it from one person to the next as he remains present and unchanging!

Wonder if this is what Andrew thought about when Jesus asked Philip where are they to buy bread so that the people may eat?
42 A man came from Baal-shalishah, bringing the man of God bread of the first fruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And Elisha said, “Give to the men, that they may eat.” 43 But his servant said, “How can I set this before a hundred men?” So he repeated, “Give them to the men, that they may eat, for thus says the Lord, ‘They shall eat and have some left.’” 44 So he set it before them. And they ate and had some left, according to the word of the Lord. 2Kings 4:42-44
5 Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?” 6 He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do. 7 Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii1 worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little.” 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him, 9 “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?” 10 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number. 11 Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.” 13 So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten. 14 When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, “This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!” John 6:5-14
10 Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Rev 19:10
Want to pass on the ministry of Jesus to my grandchildren Asher and Ivy born yesterday 9/29/2024

Humility dictates that we lead steadfast and faithful lives and the Lord decides how we leave this world. Elijah told the Israelites that although most of them had forgotten the Lord, the Lord had not forgotten them. He would not abandon His covenant commitments as Israel did, but He would judge the people for their sin, just as He promised. Even though our country is in complete chaos YHWH will continue to be good to us because His promises are true in 2024 just like in the days of Elijah and Elisha.
Leaders of God’s people come and go, but His Word remains and does not come back void. God’s kingdom will carry on, through leaders that He puts in place. Our confidence is in the power of His Word, not in individual servants of God.

People see fire fall from Heaven and consume idolaters and continue in the same ways of sin. Sin is a powerful master that can only be broken by trusting in Jesus. Jesus will set you free.

In 1 Kings 3:7 Solomon refers to himself as a little child even though he was in his twenties so the small boys may have been in their late teens to their twenties. They were old enough to suffer the consequences of their sin.
