Not only did she know ever word of each of his songs, she could sing as if she were on the record with him. In many ways she taught me to love Jim Reeves as much as I love Queen. It's impossible not to smile with tears in my eyes. Memories of growing up with only an AM radio that couldn't pick up a clean sound for over a minute, then hearing the crystal smooth voice of Jim Reeves on our first record player. Good music that brings sweet memories are the real treasures in life.
When my dad was dying three years ago, I played his favourite Jim Reeves tracks and he began to sing along with them. There are tears running down my face as I'm writing this.

Jim Reeves is before my time, but he has a voice that brings tears to my eyes because he sings with such tenderness and feelings.
