    Thanks for posting. I have never seen it at my local Costco. Can this recipe be used with the top Sirloin cap?

    Putting a tri tip in an oven is sacrilegious and no need to cut off the end.

      You don’t have to cut off the end, but keep in mind that the thinner end piece will be cooked well done.

    Outstanding, looks great and a quick preparation! I usually roast them like this in the winter and marinade them for the grill in summer. My Costco has had these one time in the 23 years I’ve been going there so we have to get them at the local butcher.
