As someone who wants get better at drawing/pencilling this video was immensely helpful. It's really hard to find videos where artist show their construction & pencil stage. Especially this video shows how much skribbling, erasing and redrawing are needed in this process. Thanks a lot for that.

    Sad to see dislikes!
    I'm not judgeing,
everybody is entitled to an oppinion but...
...it's clear as daylight(even if you do not check up his body of work and the prestige that he Earned! over the years in his field!), only if we look at his technique ,
that this guy is on top of his game!
Over the years I saw only finished art pieces of his and I hoped to see the process!
To see how he does it!
...Now I know that he uses multiple lines, that he uses eraser and that he also needs to change things in the middle of the work!
Now I know he's half like us...and the other half he's "just"(!?)a super artist!
    There is no denying that!,
Only if you are just simply mean,or do not have even a single art bone in you or envy is the only thing that's driving you!
Only in that case you can dislike the way or the things he's doing here!
    I do like his work!
    A lot!
    Always thumb up from me,Frank!👍

It’s fascinating to see that your initial drawing is so loose and SEEMINGLY tentative compared to how tight and clean your finished works are

Frank, can you do a video of your home studio, drawing desk, etc.?

  • @jaswiki
    @jaswiki 5 лет назад

in a lot of ways. Keeping everything very loose and gestural in the early stages helps to define your pose better so that you don't get tied down to your first pass. It also helps un-stiffen your drawings too. Because you can always tighten your line work later or add the structure back in, but a figure will always remain stiff looking if you keep it too clean from start to finish.

This is gold, Frank. Can you please focus on specific individual body parts every now and then? Like the anatomy in different poses and such. Thanks for the hard work.
