How is it she manages to bring tears to my eyes every nine out of ten tunes? She sings every note like she means it. I remember this tragedy. Kudos to the songwriter for writing the song and ensuring the perfect vessel to carry the message.
Brennan ,Thank you so much for publishing this fabulous video of Sierra .I met you in the Bronx and you mentioned that Sierra sang in your band. After recording her concerts around the country I now am glad to say this is now my favorite song!
So, over the course of a couple hours tonight, I have found, A) Sierra Ferrell, B) 600lbs of Sin, C) THIS song, and its meaning. I can't even right now!
This is the best reply on this UpLoad of a song/group that I have been a fan of for nearly a decade now, and I have never put the 2 & two together b4 about the GratefulDead lyric, "600lbs of Sand"... but these folks do hold it well... their Sand, that is. Although I am kinda disappointed in hearing this being introduced by a Preacher And being sung with what looks like his Choir, I do understand that any band would want all of the exposure that it can get in its early years. Bang on, 600lbs. of Sin!
Coal is coming back BIGLY! New coal mines being opened every day. Hundreds of them. This you can believe me. We have rolled back worker safety regulations so good luck down in that hole fellas. The new clean coal is the best in the world. You take it out of the ground and scrub with Dawn dish soap and Viola!
Some say it’s almost heaven. I don’t know. You can see it from here. Objects in this mirror are closer than they appear. The shaft drops even deeper ’til you can’t see us anymore. We serve a life, or death, sentence for the crime of being poor. Chorus: 25 is now 29 What’s mine is yours ‘Cause it damn sure ain’t mine Should we fix it, shut it down, or just pay the fine? 25 is now 29. Never did mind Mondays and today we were s’posed to win it all. Well, if not today then one day, But life sure ain’t basketball. Can’t seem to win for losing, But I’ll be damned if I ever stop trying. Go to work to earn a living on Monday And one day, one day I’ll earn a dying. Chorus: Montani Semper Libri, maybe not free, but we work cheap. Our reward’s in the by and by Where the mountain’s high and the coal runs deep. ‘Til then we love the men we work for. They feed our families, they pay our bills. In kind, we dig their mines And build their mansions on our hills. Chorus ….
@@TylerLukey I like your vision better, Bruh... it's much better and more honorable than the term "stole", especially sinec it should have read "has stolen", as in the past-participle of the word used. Thanks for that.

I've also just discovered A and B, but I have no idea what C is. Can you enlighten me?
No shame in going down a good rabbit hole of music. I wish more people would.

600 lb of sand is a Grateful Dead lyric at this band stole and are using it for their title of their band
I think you mean 600lbs of "sin"
I think you mean "borrowed respectfully to pay homage to"
I wonder if this guys still such a dipshit a year later. Probs.

Thanks for that.
