This is actually before Popular Monster...the evolution of the band and Ronnie spans alot of genres. The 2nd of this trilogy is my favorite. Ronnie and crew fit no specific type of music. Granted his recent are amazing 👏 😍.
You’ll like parts 2 and 3 much more. Stick with the trilogy!
Also, the black stuff the girl spit in his mouth represents heroin. He ascends after that and his eyes glow (keep that in mind for the later videos). The trilogy is about his journey through addiction.

I think most people will admit Losing my Mind is the more confusing and least exciting song in the trilogy. Stick with it. It get infinitely better
I think we should also evaluate the entire trilogy according to the degree of roasting. And to evaluate not a single composition, but the entire trilogy as a whole..
The next one, Losing my Life, is my favorite of the trilogy. Yes, he is rapping.
These songs are steeped in symbolism. It's all about his journey with addiction and being incarcerated. It's very deep if you look into the lyrics.

seeing all of Ronnie's work only shows his huge range of talent he has, if you like the type of genre or not, you have to respect him for his ability to do so much, and so well.

your black tar hashish comment is actually pretty close. pretty sure the woman represents heroin/drug addiction. This whole song is from the perspective of him in the early days of drug addiction, and refusing to listen to anyone, and doing what ever he wants. The next song is more from the perspective of a long term addict coming to terms with it, and realizing that its killing him, and he needs to do something about it. The last song is from the perspective of him being done with drugs, sober and trying to move on with his life. thats crazy-simplified, but theres a basic rundown of whats goin on here.
the woman is the silver spoon, for that she wears all silver. and the black tar is black heroine which ronnie was used to.

They get more like what he does now as you go through the trilogy. I think you will enjoy the next two more.

I listened to all of these well after they came out and knowing in advance what the trilogy was about had me enjoying them thinking in terms of what he was pushing through at that time. Very similar to listening to Tom's stuff and knowing what was going on when he dropped stuff. ✌❤

Stick with it. The Trilogy is Ronnie’s life story essentially. This is the first song, this is Ronnie in active addiction, not ready to change how he’s doing things. The girl is a spoon, the black stuff is heroin, he had a bad addiction problem. Then he was involved in the mess that would eventually see him in prison for a little over 2 years. He was also replaced in his first band, Escape the Fate at that time. It was while he was in prison that he got clean, and wrote an entire album that would be Falling In Reverse’s first album.
Ronnie kind of layers musically. It starts here, another layer in Losing My Mind, then Drugs is a fusion of those. In the same way that you have Popular Monster, then Zombified, then Voices in My Head blends those.
The Trilogy is a really different type of work and it’s really should be judged as a cohesive whole. He got a lot of haters when this first came out because it was so completely different from everything he had done before.
if you go back a few years in Ronnie's career..you will see that he has always been a ...rapper..he even has put out solo rap songs..but if you want to hear one of the most popular FIR rap songs ..the song Alone is the one to check out 🔥🔥👍👍😎😎

This was before Revamped. It was released in 2018, Losing my life 2019, and Drugs 2019 . There is a story to this. I know we spoiled you to the really good stuff first . Lol
When you refused to be Pigeon Holed ... Create something nobody else has done ... Only the most talented of the talented are able to create a 'signature sound' ... Consider this like the INTRO to the Trillogy. Not my favorite either but it makes more sense as you get through the next two.
Learning about Ronnie's past gives a lot of insight into the lyrics and visuals. My personal interpretation is the lady represents a spoon and the liquid being heroine. However, I've seen live streams of Ronnie talking about references to "drugs" being anything toxic or something that you're addicted to, from tv to food, etc. I think we all have a good idea of what it means to him, specifically in reference to his past, but I think it's also open to interpretation to whatever applies to us individually.
The fact that you didn't like this one is totally normal, as many people were either love it or hate it. The next song in the trilogy is sonically much better, and I highly recommend their live, Warped Tour version: ruclips.net/video/Z116LsMiyKc/видео.html

Black Tar is pretty accurate. I enjoy the trilogy, but like Kris, enjoy the newer stuff more.
I didn’t care for this song but I love the next song in the trilogy “losing my life “. As a new fan the only thing for sure is you never know what to expect. I totally get your reaction to this song but give Losing my life a listen.

So not sure if anyone has said but FIR is Ronnie's second band. He went to prison and his bandmates found a new singer almost right away. Falling In Reverse was Ronnie moving on and getting back at his old band because as soon as he came back and blew up people stopped listening to his old band Escape the Fate (speaking for myself I prefer Ronnie's singing over I think Craig? So when Ronnie made a new band I forgot about ETF). Well I'm sure they still have fans but went from being headliners of massive concerts to basically nobodies now. I'm searching their last made song after this lol.
This is my least favorite part of the trilogy and would it have been my first FiR song, I probably hadn't checked out more by them. I like the idea of the lyrics and the whole concept of the trilogy but Losing My Mind isn't on my playlist either. I hope you'll still check out the rest of the trilogy!
Ronnie does so many very different songs and genres that it's very likely that you don't enjoy every single one (I kinda do, but there are so some I don't click on actively and might even skip).
