I just returned my 525l… it was PERFECT BUT it had a fatal flaw. Power was great, super light and ergonomic etc. the problem was that in dusty/dry climates the filtration system simply fails. After 3-4 hours of weedeating here in the Sierra Nevada mountains (dry dirt, tall weeds) the filter will begin to fail and dust particles pass through it and enter into the housing behind the filter. This could result in scored pistons and cylinder. Basically it would be destroyed. Too bad, I loved it! Stihl has it figured out on their filters for this climate. ** edit** I put around 30 hours on this in testing.
@@ryanalam5669 This filter isn’t one that is to be oiled.. and echo is the same way actually. On one of our professional model handle bar units we have to change the pre filter out every few hours and main filter about every 4

Just bought a 525L today and I've got a serious blister from trying to start it. I run pre mix so no problem there, when it finally started it ran 8 mins maybe then died. Had to wait awhile before it would start again. Not happy, gonna try and talk to customer service at Husqvarna.
Thank you Tony. I figured out the little filter inside the tank had came apart and it was letting air into the line. One of your videos helped me figure that out. Thanks for bodly representing Jesus. I know he's the only reason I stand here writing this, by his grace alone.
Also as a knew guy getting started, I have so many questions. Things like how to receive payment. Check and cash definitely obvious. But these days lots folk use debit card. Great video. I miss my Husky 323L. Light nice power and did great. I hate trimmers. I run the crap out of them and junk them. No matter what brand. The new ones all suck. I'm using a Hitachi right now and love it. It's longer than all the other trimmers and light. So for talk guys it works great.
Hey Tony does this Husqvarna 525L more powerful then a echo SRM 280 because my echo just gave out after 10 yrs of use and I was thinking of getting a Husqvarna 525 L from my local Lowe's store .
Ive never used a 280 but the husky does have great power you may look into the husqvarna 525LST i want to try one of those and its only a few dollars more online
Good deal on the whip fix. The km130 must have felt like carrying a load of bricks that week. My daily whip is a stihl 94r and when I grab my km110 kombi it is a great reminder how light the 94r is.
I bought the same trimmer today at Lowe’s and although it works great the throttle doesn’t seem to rev when I squeeze it in properly. It’s like I don’t need to use the throttle because it’s powerful enough to trim on idle. Is there something I’m doing wrong?
I got this trimmer at Loews 4 months ago and I love it however it got heavy after some time when I would edge and then I got a echo pe-2620s and now I have my perfect set up!
This must have been a rookie move but my 525L throws everything right at me. I’m right handed and stand to the left which is the way it spends. Learning to right standing and it’s a world of difference.
What can be wrong when i start today the husqvarna 525l i give a little gas it start shakeing the head bump in up to the hand handle in i give more gas it just shakes the head bump
Very good trimmer. Light weight, pretty darn powerful, reliable, easy on fuel and definitely not the loudest that I run. I love my 525L as much as my Stihl FS-250R and Stihl KM-94R trimmers. The Husqvarna feels like it has a bit more power and torque than the KM-94R but it's really close. You can't go wrong with any of the three mentioned trimmers. They are all beastly and reliable.
I bought a 525LK, after around 10 hrs of residential use, it wouldn't start the next time I tried to use it.
