I don't know what x-country is judged on, but again it surprised me to see riders with heels up, hitting their horse's back over every jump. Only Joelle Baskerville stood out for me with a gentle, balanced ride.
It's so lovely to see horses that will move out into a full gallop like this. All of the horses I ride wouldn't gallop if you paid them. The only one that will, only does so when he's misbehaving, and even then it's only a hand gallop.
