*Make a snow angel in the books.*
So many books! When we set up our shelves here we started out thinking we would have lots of spaces for nicknacks on the shelves as well, then gradually as more & more books got unpacked we realised we might actually need even more shelves that we'd thought! Got there eventually but we've got a massive box to take to the charity shop when they're accepting donations again.
Aha never underestimate the space books need ;P
I love what you're wearing, looks so comfy and pretty! I am really intrigued by the idea of what kind of impression of a person one may form if only introduced to them via their books.
I ran out of space for bookcases in my last apartment, I had 6. I have been reading ebooks since 2011 and currently on my Kindle Paperwhite I have 300 plus ebooks.i can’t wait for the bookcase tour🤓 Happy reading📖🎊🎉🥰
This was so strangely satisfying! 😂 Already hyped for the upcoming bookshelf tour!
As a student who doesn't really buy physical books I really admire you managed to amass such an amazing collection in a rented accommodation!! Can I ask where you got that fab jumpsuit from? x
Aha don't let me live in one place for too long because clearly this is what happens. Of course ^_^ it's actually a dress but it's from Monsoon :D
I bought A LOT of books when I moved back from Japan to Malaysia too. They are mostly still unpacked because I know I’ll be moving again soon. My sister calls me crazy book lady 😂
That seems like a great compliment 😂
I’m only three minutes in and I’m already loving this. It is also making me want to organise my books! Excited for the rest of the video.
I have had so much fun organising all my bookcases aha
Jean Bookishthoughts yay. I am definitely going to sort mine out soon so thank you for giving me the unexpected push I needed!
Xena warrior princess and a rubber bat 🖤🦇 you have officially gone straight to the top of my favourites list 😂 👸🏼
That was fun. It's lovely watching your face light up when rediscovering books.
..Wow - now THAT'S a book haul (..ha!)! Two summers back, moved into my current condo and didn't realize half my moving boxes would be books until packing time had arrived ...
Loved this video! I has me wanting to go through all my bookshelves and do some rereading. I moved from Utah back to Oregon a few years ago and was amazed at how many boxes of books I had even after doing some ruthless unhauling.
Between this video and your video on your classical literature collection I’ve basically fallen in love with you-which is not something I would regularly admit but could not resist in this case. You’re adorable!☺️😅
Also, the outfit paired with those socks is perfecttttt!
Lastly, I applaud your drive to sort these out in one go-eight boxes is quite a lot.😂 Good work!
I found this strangely satisfying, and it's so sweet you included your friend in the process. Looked like fun :)
The Emperor's Babe is AMAZING! I read it at university (and have read everything else she's written since, pretty much) - prioritise it, because you'll love it :)
loved this, can’t wait for the bookshelf tours! Would you be able to do a board game collection video, some of those looked so interesting 😁
We have over a thousand books We’ll never move haven’t even changed the old,old carpet because of the thought of moving so many books 🤯😳Thank goddess for billy bookcases lol
This was so cathartic to watch. There’s nothing better than organizing books ❤️
As someone who is moving this year I’m both excited and terrified by this video
You are literally one of my favourite booktubers! I'm also going into classical studies for my bachelor's in September and I'm so excited! I want to get a PhD later on and hopefully do it abroad in Europe (I'm in Canada)
15:00 Jean completely losing it, is probably my favourite thing to happen all week 😂
Where would you usually take books you unhaul in Edinburgh? Just curious because I live in Edinburgh and if you take things to a charity shop or second hand shop I'd love to go there
Wow your description of love her or lose her was SPOT. ON. lmao!
Simple and to the point aha - I'm still excited for book three though!!!
Wow well done!! Looking forward to watching that book tour - however long it turns out to be...
Five days probably aha
Oh gosh, and I thought finding homes for all my books when I moved back from uni 😂 my collection isn't quite at your level yet!
This was so fun! 😆
I'm already looking forward to the bookshelf tour.
to be swimming in books....how lovely!!
no complaints here ;)
I just got a copy of Sorcerer to the Crown and would love to read along with the book club. Can you share the link please?
I absolutely loved this video!! It was like getting lost in Book Heaven!! And you also made it fun too! Brilliant!!
Yay so pleased
Sis you invigorated the spirit in me to start diluting the pile at my shelf
Can't wait for your bookshelves tour!!
This one is gonna be a full day project aha
Watching this was oddly satisfying haha I have always loved unpacking and reorganizing when moving lol
Do you recommend "A brief history of ancient Greece" for readers who are just very interested in ancient Greece but don't study it? Or is it too "technical" ?
Mystery Cat I’d say yes, it’s very accesible
@@NoeHernandezPe767 Great, i'll put it on my wishlist :D thank you
Omg I loved watching this! Can’t wait to see your unhaul!!!
Sitting surrounded by boxes of books is literally the dream 😍 😆
Until all the dust tries to give you an asthma attack aha
This is the biggest book haul I've ever watched!
I’m imagining your mums face when all those boxes arrived. That would be my idea of heaven. Surrounded by boxes of books.
It definitely was not her idea of heaven aha
The slow descent into hysteria and the video goes on... 😂
Also, I have those socks!
I’ve had to shift all my books too for some new shelves so will be doing something similar when they’re up 😭
I’d love to see a video on your board games!
Oh I would love to read the short story collection from Palestine. I’m a Palestinian myself and am always on the hunt for books related to Palestine
That's a lot of books I feel like an angel now in comparison lol
I spotted the Sherlock Holmes board game, love it!
Gotta have some more Holmes in my life ;)
I list second hand books for a living and the worst thing I found in a book was a rusty razor blade, blerggghh!
The worst thing I found in a used book was a bookworm. Eeeewww 🤮
The process begins
Classics student life is immediately zeroing in on a Loeb whenever there's one in sight 🤣
Immediately recognisable 😂
had to pause and rewind a few times to catch 15:27 but a BOOK BOARD GAME omg that is amazing and i'm ashamed that i've never looked into seeing if one existed before this
You´ve driven into a sea full of books.
Fun...but slightly daunting. Definitely a first-world problem. Enjoy your books. Stay safe and be healthy.
Aha I definitely wouldn’t call it a problem - just a task to be undertaken in order to have lovely books on display ☺️
aka Jean being cute for almost 19 minutes.
Actually impressed you managed to cut it down/speed it up to under 20 minutes! haha
Honestly I impressed myself 🤣
This is such wholesome content. You're the cutest!
This was mission impossible. But you’ve made it. Kinda😂
It's all worth it in the end 😂
I don't even have 400 books 😭 Oh well one day I will. Love your video. it was fun to watch
Your dress with your socks are adorable!
Style icon tbh
I kept on repeating the children's book I think I can I know can as your unboxing your London flat. Deep Breath. You can do it. ☺
I love this video
I’m Polish, but i like your channel!
I feel like this is going to be me and my BFF sometime in the foreseeable future. Enjoyed hanging out with you!
I am enjoying watching this but did wonder why you didn’t start a box for unhaul instead of stacks on the floor
Logic really didn’t come into any of it 🤣
omg I've been book-haul deprived recently. this is massive
Your books are amazing but *XENA WARRIOR PRINCESS DVDS!!!* omg.
I mean what else can you possibly need in life!?
At 7:44 agree about Pride you know there is book based on it
Yes! I actually have it although I’ve yet to read it aha
this was so satisfying to watch
Yayy!! These casual-style videos are my favorite >u
So glad it was enjoyable!
That was fun!
This is definitely the most Scottish I've ever heard you sound in a video.
Aha I definitely sound more scottish talking to other scottish people.
your accent
This is crazy, you need to open a store.
Aha but then I’d have to let people take them all
Jean Bookishthoughts lol I guess I hadn’t noticed that you moved! Haha I thought you bought them at the same time.😂
Omg no way aha
Oh, Jean... 😂
So you like to read then.....hahah..thanks for sharing a lens into your world..
👏👏👏
? love this video. 👌
A fellow Robert Carlyle fan? :D
His no.1 fan! 🤣
