When Hurricane Hugo was coming me and my dad were prepping the yard and house. Everything was bathed in a golden orange light. It was very eerie. Dad said it does that sometimes when it storms. He also showed me where the ants had plugged up all the entrances to their beds. I like how you take the time to enjoy and film the little critters (toads and salamanders) that you run into. It's a nice touch.
Im from Virginia. And I used to live right down the road from The Shenandoah National Forest. It's so beautiful when the leaves start to change and the temperature cools off.
Wow! awesome channel. I grew up in in the Appalachians in NC. You know... we may need to have these kinds of skills soon just to survive. Thanks for teaching and sharing.
I love these longer videos, some of my people come from back there, Palatine and James Town people. Seeing the bush there is wonderful. After all of the disasters in the southeast, I hope someone notices the lessons in these beautiful videos. Thanks a million and more. Enjoy your ravioli, it's starting to qualify as soul food!♥️
- I'm originally from New England && most of the time it rains, it makes it at *least 10x* worse. It's so, so rare that rain makes it cooler. 😫 🔥 🥵 2:55
Much respect to a man who heads out into the vast wilderness to make a survival tutorial video and engineers his own chocolate fondue pot 🤣🤣🤣 I love your videos! Please make more! It’d be even better if you could make them longer please. Great work!
Ive seen that type of haze before, i think it had something to do with wildfires in Canada and the smoke followed the jet stream East past Maine where I live. This is usually how we can tell if theres fires out west, it happens usually every summer and causes these weird color filters.
Greetings friend! Have you ever had issues with wild animals during overnight sleep in the tent? Do they get close to the tent, or have they just been curious? Does it fire scare them or the oposite?
When I was a little girl, growing up in Georgia,we would have those orange evenings and sometimes yellow, was scary. Probably a dumb question but do you have to worry about tics?
Chef Boy Ardee. 4 cans for $4.25 at Walmart. That's a deal. Always keep a big stash of the mini ravioli's in the pantry. Adding some percorino romano really enhances the flavor. Great trip. I assume the wind cooled off the hot temp a little. Great spot. Enjoy your videos.
Can you make some more videos but longer. Like a whole weekend in the woods? Or maybe two days? I love your videos!!! It makes me want to go camping.

Warm chocolate with berries is a fantastic outdoor food, high in quick available calories. Thats gourmet eating out in the elements!

That might be what it was, didn't think of that but it was pretty cool to see, kind of creepy too lol
That haze remind me when the wildfires were rafing in alberta. It got way worse than that closer to the fires
Good size black bear tracks @ 1:36 🐻🐻🐻🐾🐾🐾
They didn’t seem very big to me.
@@reginacarmenbanda9131 i didn't say "big", I said that it was "good" size 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

An overplayed trope.
@@FerndaleMichiganUSA Not really. Still relevant. Sorry, I didn't know Ferndale had a lot of Grandpa Uncle-Daddies running around.

Anything over a good fire tastes great!😂
I knew you were a Pennsylvanian. Lol I know that accent anywhere. Lol I'm not far from Pittsburgh.
Trail guide: remember , bears are more afraid of you than you are of them.
Me: pretty sure the bears are wrong.
Do you ever take a gold pan with you and try your luck?
Looks like Allegheny National Forest

Says not going to jump into river proceeds to jump into another river.
Why don't you use a pickaxe to make a flat spot?
Got space ?
