The bleach is exactly what was needed! Gave the jacket a finished look and blended the pocket areas in. Love what you did at the bottom back too. Also it has a slimming effect with the dark colors going down the front center. Great piece!
Looks really good. You have a great eye. It's interesting to see how other people see things. I happen to lean toward curvy things, so I really like the look of the plaid jacket's design with the curved placket. I might have used that curved portion as it was. But your final design is great, too, and the fact that the plaid didn't bleach doesn't bother me. Thanks for the video
I haven't watched one of your upcycle vids because the LAST thing I need is to get bitten by THIS particular bug (it really speaks to so many things I am interested in) but dang, my art room is too full for another hobby! 😂 This is so fun to watch and live vicariously through your projects! Love the bleach! it's so retro and neat! 💜
@@TheHalfassCrafter well..Thanks for stopping by Laura!! I know that problem of being bitten by the bug… such as “glue booking”. But as it turns out, nobody wants to watch me do that, so who knows ….😩
Pockets on good quality clothing are sewn shut so that the fabric doesn’t stretch from people trying on the garment. Blazers, dress pants, coats and kick pleats most often. Just snip it open.
So cute - and perfect for the season! 🍁 Thank you again for your time and energy producing these videos!!! 🙏🏼💕 Your tutorials helped make my first upcycle a success! It’s a logo tee with sleeves/sides from a flannel shirt, button placket ruffles at the bottom from the flannel and a men’s dress shirt. I added cuffs from dress shirt along the back sides to make more room in the booty area. I had SO much fun and will be wearing my creation to the ELO Final Tour concert tonight. 😁
@@shabbyroadstudio it looks fine as long as you don’t zoom in 🤣 Wore it to the concert last night and it was comfortable and didn’t come apart, so I consider that a win 😁 I’m not on social media, except for YT & Reddit. May I send you photos via Etsy message to your shop? Would that work?
You did a great job, love your combination of the two, bleached denim and the fall colors in the middle, super cute! What was your bleaching method for this project? I ask because I love how you did it!

@@beccaL9 thank you..!!
I bleach too because gives items more character and frustrates me too when fabrics don't bleach. I love how this jacket turned out!
@@diannemount6524 thanks Dianne!! Isnt that so rude that they make fabric like that…. Refusing to be bleached!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤪
Super cute! I really like the texture of the inner piece along with the denim!!❤

Love this💕

I love it! Would you ever consider making some smaller size pieces? You are very talented.
@@christinesimpsonart I would. I’ve mostly had people ask for bigger sizes. What size range ?

@@shabbyroadstudio ok thank you!
It looked better before bleaching. There's too much of a difference in color between the denim and middle part. But the design is great.
