OCC Mallorca Tour - April 2022

Finally, after several attempts had to be aborted due to travel restrictions brought on by the pandemic, an octet of Oxford Cycling Club members made it to the cycling Paradise that is Mallorca. Based in Puerto Pollensa on the northeast coast, they enjoyed five days of spectacular cycling, much laughter, glorious spring sunshine, stunning scenery, smooth asphalt, considerate motorists, a wonderul base at the Hoposa Bahia on the famous Pine Walk and, needless to say, plenty of cold cervezas and delicious tapas at regular intervals!
This video captures a few of the highlights - the first ride out to Cap de Formentor, the must-do ascent of Sa Calobra and a wonderful coast to coast route from Port d'Andratx on the west coast, back through the spine of the Serra de Tramunatan mountains. Awesome.
Finally, we make no apology for the soundtrack - it was playing at full volume as the minibus arrived in Port d'Andratx, pumping the group upfor a long day in the saddle. Somewhat inevitably, it became the Tour anthem! We hope you enjoy our little movie as much as we enjoyed making it!
