This song relates to me all to well. For 4 years i was on my death bed due to a surgery gone wrong. It was a very dark time for me and it taught me that in the end you only have yourself to count on. Even my family wasn't there. I gave up a lot but i made it when i wasn't suppose to.
Is that true? Because that's kind of sad actually.

Five years ago, I went through a divorce and few were there for me. Most of my so called friends left and I realized that I could only truly depend on God and a few close family/friends. Just saw them on Wednesday in Salt Lake City & the story behind this song is that at this point in time they were about ready to go under. The song was meant to show that they wouldn't go down without a fight & this song propelled them back. One of my favorite groups & hope to see them again.

Christian or not I still love The Veer Union. Speaking as a Christian I would love it if they were but if not don't really care they sound great, if I want a Christian band I will listen to The Devil Wears Prada, As I Lay Dying, Wolves at the Gate, ect.

I just love Veer Union so much, this band is amazing and their lyrics are so inspirational and deep. There is so much meaning, I just can't get enough of them.
