Topuria is gonna make it look easy, then people will start complaining about Max not being on his "prime". The Topuria hate is crazy, just because he is confident. Topuria is everything ufc needs, of course he is not as carismatic as mcgregor (anyone is) but he is proving he´s worth the hype.

I have been following Topuria for 6 years. I knew she was going to do everything she said. He has KO'd two of the GOATs in the division. He is 16-0 undefeated, without suffering in his big fights. As he said “The better my opponents are the better my victories will be, because I am the new generation of MMA.” I think he is the best fighter of the year. I also say Max said “This is not a funeral I promise” We need people like Max in this sport. He is an example and a legend, despite being Spanish at the moment over Topuria. Time will tell although I believe that Tupiria will get to collect three belts, but that's my belief. Max is coming back. Stronger and better, you are a fucking legend and I will always admire you. Aldo was the king of the division. 3. Kattar was the better boxer with more power. 4. Rodriguez was the better striker. 5. Gaethje outguns Max. Remember that Gaethje was the fav of the match vs Blessed and he has the same power as Ilia, but at the end, Max schooled him for 5 rounds. Max has nothing to lose as a fighter (already a legend), but Ilia does. And as soon as he steps in the ring with Blessed, everyting changes, one wrong move from either of them and that can be it both ways.
Gaethje is nowhere near the level of Topuria. His striking isn’t as clean and he doesn’t put people out cold with one shot like Ilia does. Max hasn’t faced anyone with the slick and technical boxing of Topuria. And if we’re going by your logic, people thought Volk was gonna win (he was a slight favorite) and Ilia was just hunting him down the whole time until he landed his finishing combination.

I like Max, he's just the type of fighter you Love to see. But I can't lie, he has the skill, Ilia has the skill as well but way more power and I don't think Max would survive if he gets connected... Max will have to fight a perfect fight and hurt Ilia first and keep him on defense and it looks hard to make than happened. Going five rounds with the scariest dude in the division above his own and flatlining him, not to mention him being the boogeyman of the 145lb division, it’s incredibly hard to bet against Holloway. Ilia’s boxing is a lot cleaner and he has a lot of power in his hands, so who can say for sure that Topuria can put Max to sleep? Can’t wait to find out.

The wrestling will be the difference here. Ilia started wrestling at seven while Holloway has boxed all his life. Maybe they will exchange in the first few rounds and if things go south for Topuria he’ll just bring out his grappling and its over.

Considering Max's expirience, and the high level of boxing its gonna be tough. If Max does the same thing that Herbert did to Ilia 1st round, there is no going back. Overall Ilia's style is so similar to Max but Max is not afraid to push forward and exchange fists. So for me its gonna be one very precise punch from Ilia to win or Max is about to school him and make him go to the ground seeing no other option.

I don’t think Ilia will necessarily be outclassed, but Max has that dog in him. Going five rounds with the scariest dude in the division above his own and flatlining him, not to mention him being the boogeyman of the 145lb division, it’s incredibly hard to bet against Holloway.
Ilia’s boxing is a lot cleaner and he has a lot of power in his hands, so who can say for sure that Topuria can put Max to sleep? Can’t wait to find out.

The wrestling will be the difference here. Ilia started wrestling at seven while Holloway has boxed all his life. Maybe they will exchange in the first few rounds and if things go south for Topuria he’ll just bring out his grappling and its over.
