2013 was such an insane memory of 5sos for me.
Going to their concert in June called 'pants down tour' which was $20.
My first ever concert.
Try hard was a week old.
Playing derpball where you had the hip thrust a beach ball, and at the end of the night they took their pants down.
I saw their parents at the show because at the time they were too young to tour by themselves.
Luke made eye contact with my friend.
But then I accidently threw away my concert ticket which I will always regret.
Ahhh pants down tour 😂 They ended up staying out talking from the fence. General chit chat, nothing major, no squealing etc. What a time, I miss it haha

That was my first time I'd even heard the expression and the only reason I knew what they were talking about here. I remember hearing it in Midnight Memories and having to Google it because, surely, my precious 1D wasn't talking about a *girl* that way.

2013 was my first exposure to 5SOS. I only remember snippets from them opening for 1D, but I persisted on not becoming a fan. My thought process was that people are already bullying me bad for liking 1D, so they'll definitely make fun of me for liking 5SOS. About six years later, 2019, I was re-exposed to 5SOS and threw the previous thought process out the window, somewhat shocked that I didn't become a fan earlier. Better late than never. Grateful to be a fan

This was me too!!! I heard about them in 2012 or 2013 but was just like Meh they look lame, and then 2019 rolls around and I'm bopping to Youngblood and Easier and... I realize this was the same band that did SLSP back in the day and I realized I had made a massive mistake! But better late than never.
It's so interesting to me listening to how the music industry works from their point of view at that age, all the debt and stuff, idk, we glamorize it a lot but at the end of the day it's just like any other business and I love that they're talking about it without worrying too much.
As the fans grew up with them we can relate n understand these aspects better now

Michael has a crazy memory, how he remembers so much is beyond me, same for Ashton.
I am dying of laughter, I can't breathe, OH GOD that was one of the best stories I have ever heard. Poor Cal. The funny part is I think I remember the broken bed part. Is it in the Out of my Limit music video or maybe a livestream? I honestly don't know anymore lol
The thing I remember the most is watching those livestreams, there was always so much happening. Everything was so chaotic, messy and the boys were doing the most random stuff and I loved it. Fun times.
Fans rang the door bell and brought you food, right?
I even have a picture of one livestream where all 4 of them are in a buoy together (people who have been a fan for a long time will know what I'm talking about).
Mike haha I would be so opposite, I mean, I would loved to have 3 other people walking into the room with me. Maybe that's just me being an introvert and not like being the centre of attention I don't know.

this band has gone through so much and for their bond to still remain intact and be as strong as ever you know they had each other’s backs and are so grounded, not just anybody could’ve made it through what they did, so endlessly proud and unconditionally love them for it

Talking about the Take Me Home tour brought back so many memories. It was my first concert that I went to in KC. The set up, the hype, all of it. I was so excited to see 5sos man. Made sure I had enough money for merch and dude. Absolutely incredible.
I really just thought Ashton coined by the members as the 'Dad Father' of the group way back bc he's the oldest but he was also the one who manages their finances before? Wow. He really had the greatest responsibility.
Thank you very much for everything, your music has been part of my life since I was 13 years old. This podcast seems like a way to get closer to your fans 💖, I love you guys, I'm proud of you ❤

I saw 5SOS open for One Direction in 2013. As an American I hadn’t heard of 5SOS until the day of the concert. I heard them play and even with playing mainly covers I was hooked from that day forward. So glad I got that exposure of the band early on.
I love that the band never fully changed, Mike and Ash are still the talkative ones.

This is my fave era, the year I found you all and seeing you open for 1D was an incredible experience. One of the only ones singing and dancing to your set in the crowd haha! To see you all grow into incredible people and absolutely killer musicians is just such a special feeling. I’m so proud of you all for staying true to yourselves as individual artists. So much love and positivity to each of you. I can’t wait to see what’s in the future for you all, I’ll be here to show love and support through it all.

This was the year I became to know 5sos. I was in 6th grade, I’m now a junior in college. I remember my family and I were driving home from a road trip and we stopped at a local drug store. I saw the She Looks so Perfect EP and begged my parents to buy it for me. My whole family listened to it on the rest of the car ride home lol.
