I also want to state that I made a mistake in the video regarding the dropping of the fiery horns hat. The hat dropped due to many users trading the hat for cheap which caused the value to crash. Thank you guys, new videos coming soon!

I don't think limiteds are the issue tho, I think it's all ugc as a whole since most of the ripoff aren't limiteds (besides the valks but most look like shit)

The “death” of limiteds is more of a combination of ugc ripoffs/ roblox themselves. Over time, roblox actually seemed to be improving the limiteds economy by making previously unobtainable items limiteds again for the first time in years, but as soon as Ugc limiteds were announced, everything started to go downhill. Mass copies of existing limiteds made by untrustworthy creators, lack of any new roblox-made limiteds, and the trading hold on roblox-made limiteds ultimately caused the death of both limiteds and the trading economy. Finally, regarding the massive drops for fiery horns, it was overhyped because of the particle effect that Ugc creators could not replicate. It led to a rapid inflation of the horns, causing it to jump from 680k to 1.1mil in less than 2 months. Because fiery was shown to be extremely unstable at 1.1 mil, it immediately started to lowball at massive amounts, resulting in the tremendous drops back to 650k. The rip-off Ugc copy of fiery was released when fiery was still raising. It may seem the rip-off Ugc copy was the main cause for the fiery drop, but if this is true, then why aren’t sparkle-time fedoras(one of the most copied items by Ugc creators) dropping?
fax on fax on fax my brodie, yeah I agree with you on your points. i feel like limiteds were making a comeback at one point and then roblox dropped the ball with public ugc limiteds. apparently they pushed the start date to a different time so hopefully when they release it to the public again it will have better moderation and not as much copying
Honestly maybe roblox shouldn’t have an online stock market for kids? I traded a lot up until 2mil in 2018 and looking back it was extremely toxic and crazy and even promoted roblox to have scammers
I think that the premise of earning avatar items for your character in-game is a great idea. Not only does it allow players who might not have Robux to earn cosmetics, but it also allows them to make a bit if they decide to sell their items. It's also good for the developers as it drives traffic to their game and allows them to grow their player-base. One problem is that I can see developers making their games a lot more predatory and more focused on selling micro-transactions than actually creating a fun and engaging player experience.

@@Skullz4Days my response has nothing to do with people creating knock-off items or 1:1 copies of existing items. I'm simply talking about the benefits of UGC limiteds that people create..
Finally a video covering this topic. I knew as soon as UGC’s started flooding the market, it was bad news for real limiteds. Take a look at the state of UGC’s now: an endless sea of options, you can easily obtain 1:1 copies of expensive items for more or less 50 robux. I sold about 2m value because the trajectory is pretty obvious. My personal belief is they want to kill valuable items and trading, so the game is almost entirely centered around groups and games. I think roblox hates the idea that people can make money off catalog items.
Roblox definitely knows what they doing. Roblox limiteds are only rotating between traders and so as their robux. Since they started doing the UGC program, people who can’t afford fancy avatars were buying robux and getting more creative to look like the expensive ones. Roblox is getting more money than they used to but RIP to traders. Y’all started reselling items too expensive, here’s your downside
Well yeah you’re exactly right, it’s greed from ROBLOX Corp. but also, they couldn’t control the black market sites where you could just buy an expensive limited for a fraction of the rate it would be on roblox. I do think though, at least since 2017, they’ve been making plans to get rid of trading, and make everything more focused on games and groups.
You think traders would sell their items for cheap just to be courteous of people with less robux? Obviously not, Items sell for what people are willing to pay for them it as nothing to do with greed. The reason its became harder for new traders is that ROBLOX stopped making new Limited's for years which made the entry into trading cost far more. But now ROBLOX has just decided to make all the classic limiteds worthless, which people have put countless hours to get.
Pretty good video explaining the downfall of trading kev! but there's something you didn't mention which is the new holding period that they added, i think roblox has officially killed the market, as a 4M+ Value trader I don't trade anymore and all of the traders i know are doing the same.
It used to be that if you wanted to ‘get rich’, you either had to: 1. Make a game, or 2. Trade. (Or both obviously). It seems that they are trying to change their model to be based entirely on games, and I think UGC’s will create more incentive for that. It was obvious 2 years ago they wanted to kill trading and regular roblox limiteds.
It’s not just about coping a certain limited. Some of them had real significance and a lot of history, but that’s something a lot of new players don’t get or even the older ones if they didn’t learn some stuff about Roblox. That’s not just rich wannabes getting mad, it’s roblox players getting mad because some part of Roblox’s history is getting erased. And the worst is that Roblox is okay with that, or at least that the problem is so big they just have to accept the platform is falling apart.
Thankfully mid-to-low tier limiteds seem safe for now. I don't think any UGC creators would bother risking anything for lesser limiteds but the high tier stuff that hype people up? Worth rug pulling over. Wonder if Robux is trying anything for this, cause the 30% cut of several mil Robux items is HUGE. But at the same time, selling lots of fake high demand UGC also pays handsomely. Maybe they want their cake and have it too.
@@gorillamasterofgaming5525when I see knockoffs in roblox, I literally just laugh at them. I’ll actually see them as the opposite, more of “poor” instead of them having a high status and I believe most of my friends would agree with me
the red sparkle time fedora wasnt taken down but the creators of it put the name of it as "content deleted" to make roblox admins confused on if roblox already deleted it
@@cyriloen8432exactly, it’s all about killing the trading system, thus making it even harder for players with no value to make any money. Want to be rich? Make a game.
Be careful when buying knockoffs, a lot of them get archived which basically makes the item invisible and useless while the creator runs away with the money while you not being able to even refund
@@TheGiantCheese-zo6eo Likely the function is to hide both Roblox & User generated assets from being datamined. Whenever an asset is uploaded; everyone can access it for most of Roblox's life. It was humorously easy. Now that Roblox wants developers to make experiences; archiving assets will be useful for developers to hide unfinished/unreleased content for their games.
Tbh the classic limiteds wouldnt have been dead if roblox had better moderation. It because of them that we are seeing recolored versions of original limiteds.
Personally, I am not a huge fan of roblox UGC for many of the reasons stated BUT because of these roblox ugc limiteds, i have managed to start making a lot of robux from it due to buying and selling them, I have made 6.7k so far, just from items which cost 70rbx or less. So it is a good thing in a sense, but i also dislike how there are many rip offs and its hurting the limited economy.
i would of been fine with ugc if a poll was done between users every week or every month of what one would be released. The winning poll gets the item uploaded by roblox and not the user. The user is credited in the description and is paid out a percentage. This prevents copies massive uploading etc.
the problem is not ugc limiteds, you guys just see the surface of the whole situation. the problems are people like /ugcdrops, /(word)ugc or whatever, those people, that upload 1:1s and stuff, and most of them scam people too by 'archiving' the items (removing the mesh so its unwearable without deleting the item so u get a refund).
As someone who was obsessed with trading 2015-2018 roblox should NOT have a stock market for children with items that have hundreds to thousands of real dollar value
BUT Roblox can ban the people who make Valkyrie helmets that are clearly trying to rip off their most popular version of the mesh. Sure, the idea wasn’t made by Roblox, but there is, however, multiple ways one can make a Valkyrie helmet. All it needs is a war helmet and a pair of wings attached to it.
Roblox actually sucks i dont even have good limiteds but doing this ruins the entire reason of limiteds and ugh this is just a horrible situation i have found so many fake valks and headlesses
The people who say roblox doesn't own the concept of valkyrie helms and therefore has no power are so funny to me considering it is roblox's website and they can do just about anything they want with it
That mean whenever they make a bad update all u can do is cry they can do whatever they want, you have no right to say that update suck bc they own this website they can do whatever they want
ikr, its just like the front page games on roblox, so many games are just copies of each other it seems like its natural for stuff to just be copied on roblox
Exactly, like there’re copies everywhere. Especially over time it has gotten worse and worse. I guess people are more unoriginal now days, and roblox just can’t keep up with the amount of copies which get created on a regular basis.
There were probably people just before this update that were still buying roblox limiteds that exceed over $1000 and had no idea that it would be all for nothing, scammed by roblox themselves. At least, it won't remove the buyers credability.
I think part of why they’re doing this is A) greed, and B) they can’t control the third party black market sites, so they’ll just kill the limiteds and trading altogether
Hot take (I guess): It sucks as someone who used to play and even participated in limited collection, but it's more of a good thing for most. If limited collection was solely done by RESPONSIBLE ADULTS then I would think this is plain stupid and cruel to those people, but keep in mind limited trading is mostly done by rich kids (or ones that made a "roleplay" group) below the age of 18. To even have such a system that manipulates young children to purchase items in the 3-5 digits (USD) for status or whatever is just downright sickening. To the like 0.01% of you who actually actively participated in limited trading and made tens if not hundreds of thousands off them, my heart goes out to you and I would definitely protest this. But that's probably not anyone reading this comment...
I feel like it got way worse with the public ugc and what not. Oh my god it is full of just copys and stuff and all sorts. Roblox could face a big lawsuit finding some of the items from other companys.
It’s amazing how Roblox made their own ‘brand’ of items that you could easily recognize - Valkyries, dominus, sparkle time series, wanwood, bluesteel, bombastic, domino crowns, swords from SFOTH… and they just let the playerbase destroy it. They HAD to have known that all these kids would do is copy popular items. If I was an asset designer for Roblox I’d be sad at them desecrating what I created. As a player from 2008 and literally the second person to ever own a Limited U item, it amazes me that they allowed this.
The concept of "limited" virtual items is absolutely ridiculous and I am glad these UGC copies exist. especially the offsale items. They are essentially intangible, digital goods that hold no intrinsic value and their scarcity is often artificially imposed. With the growing player base, these items are even more highly coveted which makes them even more "valuable".
These items hold real value for example, The Dominus Aureus which was obtainable for less than 1,000,000 Robux back in 2019, is now 5,400,000 Robux meaning they more than doubled their money.
Artificial scarcity or not, these items still go for $$$ in the black market which means they do indeed hold a monetary value. Your argument can also be used on government currencies too, these things made of paper we value that sit in our wallets are endlessly printed on a daily basis. But at the end of the day money is arbitrary and value is subjective.
@@fadevert Well, I get what you're saying about limited virtual items holding a monetary value on the black market. The thing is the fact that people are willing to pay for them doesn't necessarily justify their inherent value. It's more about the willingness of those people to invest in the items rather than any intrinsic value they possess. While you can draw a parallel to government currencies the key difference is that these fiat currencies are backed by the stability and trust in a country's economy and government. They serve as a medium of exchange and store of value for various transactions in society. Limited virtual items, on the other hand are essentially digital collectibles without real-world utility. So while value can indeed be subjective, comparing them to government currencies can be a bit of a stretch maybe so much as to make an appeal to common practice, as these two concepts serve entirely different purposes in our lives.
im glad UGC limiteds and horribid ripoffs aren't tradeables, that would have made real limiteds useless (only if you want to flex which is a L) people trying to look ''rich'' is already getting on the nerves of players WHO really got a high valued limited without spending irl money by effort, only to find out there's this absurd ripoff :/
Honest to god someone needs to make a potation or Roblox group that gets people to vote against the UGC creations or at least get Roblox to delete all the copys that are out because its getting ridiculous. My item went down 20k robux because of UGC and I doubt its getting any higher. They really need to get their moderation on point because it seems like they just care about the money with the updates they have made in the past year.
the fiery / frozen horns died due to them being the only items that couldnt be copied, however they passed a ton of items and alot of owners panicked for them
horns did not drop bc of ugc. everyone dumped everything into it and then once a few fail trades/lbs went through all the owners panicked and traded off for lbs. or they would op for items that typically would lb for horns
I like ugc but roblox isn't moderated enough for them to run a website function like such without the proper fiscalization on the released items. they were never prepared to begin with something of this scale
The only ones which I like are the ones which are obtainable in games and give an advantage in that game, actually gives them an unique use which is why people would buy and trade them.
im happy to see a few items drop significantly in value simply because theyre overrated in my opinion (example: sshf), but a majority of it is just mid
The reason why there valuable is cz there’s a lot of history behind those items, that’s why most of the new generation don’t know or care for slightly lesser known items like the transient hermonica
you should make another video called, ”the resurrection of roblox limiteds” because of people being able to delete them. all ripoff limited items are currently deleted right now. it would be a good video idea!
Also the items dropping has nothing to do with ugc ngl, i think its just around that time of the year that those items are dropping (for example the horns raise a few 100k in like 2 weeks and they raised too much so rolimons heavily dropped them)
honestly people were giving so much for horns as they are unique and their fire cant be copied that they went up too much, that caused them to be bad, might also be the value changers fault@@JustKevvy
I still don’t understand what trader is thinking like most limited item price is ridiculous why can’t people buy a cheap version of it , like you still own the original item you can say you are proud but why saving robux is a shame?
Yknow this is like the exact same thing as fake designer brands If we look are Jordans and the reps of Jordan’s nowadays, they are 1:1 and cost a fraction of the price, realistically I’m not going to drop a whole months worth of my paycheck just to get some shoes that I’m not even allowed to wear because I’ll “crease them” I am never gonna trade to get a high value limited, but I will buy a fake limited not to “flex” on people (I mean they can take 1 look at my inventory in game and clown me), but just because I think the best avatars consist of things like CW shades and headphones, I also grew up on Roblox at the time these limiteds came out and have been wanting them since
Only limiteds that still habe value as of today, are the ones with effects. Like the posioned horns, ghosdeeri, and smokestack tophat. Other than that everything got de-valued hella
There is legit a real fake headless head bundle for 75 robux and it works it is called the “invisible head” I think idk if they took it down but it still works💀 Update: It still works (sometimes) but it got taken down I think just right now as of writing
I can’t say I’m upset about all this, I never really though that selling digital items for hundreds of irl dollars would be a good idea. Tbh it was basically a more functional nft system.
I really disagree with some of the points here 1: The horns series didn't drop because of a copy, there were tons of copies before they rose a lot. They only dropped because they were overinflated. 2: Items are (generally) inflating right now, they didnt even deflate much at all. 3: The void star only dropped because it was lbing for horns, once they dropped it started recovering 4: Cwhp is at about the same value it was last year, it always drops this much. It was overinflated, but i do think ugcs had a *small* effect on it 5: Bigs, like stfs, haven't had much of a drop due to copies. They just pull slightly lower bc they had wayyy to much demand over the summer I dont think a natural supply/demand cycle is proof of limiteds dying. Aureus is at an all time high and pulling massive ops, and thats true for almost all dominuses. Limiteds arent "dead" at all. Those who can afford these items will still pay for them, and weve seen this is true. Btw I really love that youve returned! Youre def my favorite yter, but i feel like this video was a little clickbait and wasnt backed by a ton of research.
Ayo you make some good points! I’m definitely just getting back into roblox so I’m still adjusting to all this new stuff 😅 I didn’t even know they had the timer on trading until recently
@@ryazortheeyezor1548 Trade hangout is dead because of the holding period, and most traders haven’t used it in years. Mass sending is better in general, and discord is better for negotiating.
Roblox did a right choice to make free ugc limiteds I mean like some ugc Limited dominuses have so much better designs and original limiteds are for rich people
tho its not a big item i own silverthorn antlers and i bought them for 2.5k like 5 months ago and then ugc comes along and i stude* there in amazement as there was a kid with a fake ugc limited copy of them, i hate roblox now
I feel like UGC should’ve only been for game devs to make limiteds for their games. For example, I bought a Limited UGC that gave me a pet in pet simulator.
Am a beginner trader with over 3K RAP and it disappoints me that Roblox cares more about these fake UGC limiteds then the actual limiteds and I got into trading in the first place because RUclipsrs like you and linkmon99 have inspired me to try trading but now because elf the UGC limiteds Roblox doesn’t care anymore and now that they introduced the holding period which makes it even more annoying overall good! :D
The fiery horns dropped because a guy failtraded their copy and that proof went out and the rest of the fiery owners panic traded their copy which led to a 500k value drop, it didn't drop because of that fake ugc copy.
the ugc dominus looks better than most of roblox dominus, and i thhink ppl realized why they have to pay 3k$ for a item on a game but ugc has ruined robloxians and roblox
4:40 I want to point out that this still doesn’t stop roblox from doing anything about it, it’s clearly meant to be a copy of a roblox item which was stated by roblox that “copies of roblox items are not tolerated” The description makes it even more sus, not to mention ITS A FUCKING RETEXTURE THEY PROBABLY DIDNT EVEN CHANGE THE MESH
Another comment from me: First of all, Limiteds were a bad idea from the begining it was stupid, what made roblox paying 100 k dollars for a hat would've been a good idea? Scamming people, etc... Free limiteds are in my opinion a way to make both limited U and Limited items lower in value which is good for the roblox community in general
I loved Roblox Limited Trading for 6 yrs straight,, mostly traded rares, my best used to be rex, pistf, lately on new account prae, bsdc but.. UGC really changed the fun of trading, no motivation to trade up when theres so many knockoffs..I'm wondering if its worthy to start again trading from 13k.. when we are surrounded by fake item community.
thankfully i think they paused ugc coming to the public until a futher date. also, I want to add add all of you guys on roblox but im only limited to 200 spots :(
yeahh im about to delete my roblox acc swear all this time and effort spent on limiteds just for kids to ruin our market placement. smh some of these creation are outraggest and should not even exist. more prof of how roblox does not care about the community.
I mean, roblox limiteds/trading was already dead before all this, and the solutions isn't ugc limiteds or holding periords but new original limiteds with actually some value intead of some sponsored shit
roblox limiteds were already dead as soon as roblox didn't allow things such as black markets. games like csgo and tf2 don't mind about trading bots or black markets and have a successful market, roblox limiteds aren't successful because they banned them outright meaning there is no use for limiteds. as i heard from someone, you can't even devex earned money from selling limiteds.
Roblox is definitely intentionally killing limiteds so they themselves don't have to provide the moderation to keep them. What Roblox fails to understand is that limiteds serve as more than just the value spent on them yearly, they serve as a reason for someone to stay who has invested in them. It's no secret that people are more likely to be involved in something they feel valued in. Limiteds were a way to set yourself apart from other players. Roblox could have potentially made millions if they took a radical move in the opposite direction and just made all original limiteds NFTs and created an overseas like platform for users over 18. Older players of Roblox make the website what it is today. They are the ones making the games that others player and typically the reason why they become invested in the community to begin with is trading. Most of the younger players are here cause they saw a youtube video or something of a Roblox game from some youtube they will inevitably grow out of listening to in about 2 years. Relying on the youth and trends to make profit is very shortsighted. Roblox will probably die entirely in the next 5 years because of this decision and many more like it. VR is ramping up people are playing other games that can provide skins/weapons/characters that are unique and can't just be copied. Look at World of Warcraft the reason that game has survived for so long is that older players are valued and are given rewards that new players cannot obtain. So they stay for that feeling of purpose. They are burning the candle at both ends with their decrease in pay to developers and destroying what loyal players of the game have spent years accumulating. Who would ever want to invest anything in a website that clearly shows it cares nothing about protecting that investment?
you're yapping and fear mongering over nothing. the people who unironically spend their money on ugc knockoffs are the same people who will never actually try getting them in the first place, and the people who spend and wear reuploaded limiteds just get made fun of and mocked for it.
@@gorillamasterofgaming5525 Yeah that’s true. The irony of it is the people who use ugc rip offs and want limiteds to die, secretly want those same limiteds
@@gaiseric9518 if limiteds ever die or get faded out then account stealing and account sellings will likely skyrocket and i kinda dont want that for the safety of my main account.
It just sounds like a bunch of wannabe rich people complaining that people want to have similar style but not pay several hundreds to thousands of dollars just to have it. Coming from someone with a fairly decent amount of limiteds, both expensive and not (mainly from trading, but also as a game developer), it's interesting to see just how creative people can get, and that is the ENTIRE reason why roblox was created. People like JustKevvy sit around and devalue the actual game itself.
And I'd like to point out that making people create limiteds has given access to hundreds of thousands of robux. More than mostly anybody in this entire comment section has ever made. Making fun of their creations is all fun and games until they reveal how successful they are. Stop being random little money-minded dicks and start actually doing something.
Actually what you were saying at 3:46 isn't correct. The creators name it [ Content Deleted ] so if a moderator sees it they think its already been dealt with. The hat is still up or else the image of it would not load.

Pretty good video explaining the downfall of trading kev! but there's something you didn't mention which is the new holding period that they added, i think roblox has officially killed the market, as a 4M+ Value trader I don't trade anymore and all of the traders i know are doing the same.
Finally someone who mentioned the holding period problem

Its like real life now, real designer vs knockoffs 🤷🏻♀️ cant take it back now

is this the fall of roblox? The richest players control all the marketing and if they leave this will be the end
Be careful when buying knockoffs, a lot of them get archived which basically makes the item invisible and useless while the creator runs away with the money while you not being able to even refund
Rip epic face
@@OfficialSaifm yep i had that lmao
Sadly that happened to me, how does archiving it make it invisible?
@@TheGiantCheese-zo6eo Likely the function is to hide both Roblox & User generated assets from being datamined. Whenever an asset is uploaded; everyone can access it for most of Roblox's life. It was humorously easy.
Now that Roblox wants developers to make experiences; archiving assets will be useful for developers to hide unfinished/unreleased content for their games.
@@risa1467 Thank you, also the owner of the item has unarchived it.
This prevents copies massive uploading etc.
the problem is not ugc limiteds, you guys just see the surface of the whole situation. the problems are people like /ugcdrops, /(word)ugc or whatever, those people, that upload 1:1s and stuff, and most of them scam people too by 'archiving' the items (removing the mesh so its unwearable without deleting the item so u get a refund).
so you DONT get a refund*

BUT Roblox can ban the people who make Valkyrie helmets that are clearly trying to rip off their most popular version of the mesh. Sure, the idea wasn’t made by Roblox, but there is, however, multiple ways one can make a Valkyrie helmet. All it needs is a war helmet and a pair of wings attached to it.

@@TheGiantCheese-zo6eowell it’s true and it has happened many times
It’s just crazy though, how roblox doesn’t care about Limited copies.
ikr, its just like the front page games on roblox, so many games are just copies of each other it seems like its natural for stuff to just be copied on roblox
Hot take (I guess):
It sucks as someone who used to play and even participated in limited collection, but it's more of a good thing for most.
I agree
UGC had so much potential and could have been so amazing if they limited access or had strict moderation for creators. Same goes for UGC limiteds
UGC limiteds has no potential, They are all going under 100 Robux
The fake void star is literally the best purchase I’ve ever made
Honest to god someone needs to make a potation or Roblox group that gets people to vote against the UGC creations or at least get Roblox to delete all the copys that are out because its getting ridiculous. My item went down 20k robux because of UGC and I doubt its getting any higher. They really need to get their moderation on point because it seems like they just care about the money with the updates they have made in the past year.
My item is only drop just little bc i owned Lucky Doge and such lol
the fiery / frozen horns died due to them being the only items that couldnt be copied, however they passed a ton of items and alot of owners panicked for them
horns did not drop bc of ugc. everyone dumped everything into it and then once a few fail trades/lbs went through all the owners panicked and traded off for lbs. or they would op for items that typically would lb for horns
Yup, mentioned in update comment 😊
I like ugc but roblox isn't moderated enough for them to run a website function like such without the proper fiscalization on the released items. they were never prepared to begin with something of this scale
What i dont understand is, why make dominus ugcs, if eventually if everyone has it noone will want it anymore
I love UGC simply because you can cosplay to any character you want
roblox is digging their own grave at this point
The difference is actually noticeable. The real clockwork headphones have a glare on the sides. And the clockwork shades have this fake paper look.
now there are 1:1 knockoffs and they aren't even rare anymore.
Honestly I like the fake limiteds, Ofc for the right reasons, I like certain limiteds for there look, not for their price soooo
i cant see myself doing this. already feel cheap just buying cheap ugc items in general but buying knockoffs is crazy.
The only ones which I like are the ones which are obtainable in games and give an advantage in that game, actually gives them an unique use which is why people would buy and trade them.
It started with it dying in popularity then it was the holding period for Roblox limiteds and then fake UGC limiteda
roblox has enough money, who rlly cares if somebody copies?
the owners of real roblox limited care
I don't really minds reps, I really just wish there was a lot more creativity UGC creators had when making accessories people could wear.
It went from, Inspired by Limiteds which is fine, to borderline reactions of limiteds to literally reuploading the mesh
im happy to see a few items drop significantly in value simply because theyre overrated in my opinion (example: sshf), but a majority of it is just mid
Also the items dropping has nothing to do with ugc ngl, i think its just around that time of the year that those items are dropping (for example the horns raise a few 100k in like 2 weeks and they raised too much so rolimons heavily dropped them)
yeah i agree but i dont think a popular item dropping half in value is common either
its cuz poison horns and chicken suit started lbing from overraising then people said horns and sound hype was fake
honestly people were giving so much for horns as they are unique and their fire cant be copied that they went up too much, that caused them to be bad, might also be the value changers fault@@JustKevvy
I still don’t understand what trader is thinking like most limited item price is ridiculous why can’t people buy a cheap version of it , like you still own the original item you can say you are proud but why saving robux is a shame?
Yknow this is like the exact same thing as fake designer brands
If we look are Jordans and the reps of Jordan’s nowadays, they are 1:1 and cost a fraction of the price, realistically I’m not going to drop a whole months worth of my paycheck just to get some shoes that I’m not even allowed to wear because I’ll “crease them”
I am never gonna trade to get a high value limited, but I will buy a fake limited not to “flex” on people (I mean they can take 1 look at my inventory in game and clown me), but just because I think the best avatars consist of things like CW shades and headphones, I also grew up on Roblox at the time these limiteds came out and have been wanting them since
I subbed like 2 years ago at this paste your channel will have 100k and I loved your broke to limited series
Only limiteds that still habe value as of today, are the ones with effects. Like the posioned horns, ghosdeeri, and smokestack tophat. Other than that everything got de-valued hella
Roblox is so done lmao, I was scrolling through the page, and every expensive limited just has a copy now
The market is far too oversaturated. Thats the only issue.
There is legit a real fake headless head bundle for 75 robux and it works it is called the “invisible head” I think idk if they took it down but it still works💀
Update: It still works (sometimes) but it got taken down I think just right now as of writing
big oof, hopefully roblox steps up the moderation
They are too many and unrecognizable that they have like zero value which makes people uninterested in the trading community
I can’t say I’m upset about all this, I never really though that selling digital items for hundreds of irl dollars would be a good idea. Tbh it was basically a more functional nft system.
I used to have some of these that cost 1 mil like the horns wtf 😭😭 these Roblox prices going brazy
commenting 5 months later, 80-90% of limiteds are at all time highs, and the market/price for **real** limiteds only goes up :)
I really disagree with some of the points here
1: The horns series didn't drop because of a copy, there were tons of copies before they rose a lot. They only dropped because they were overinflated.
2: Items are (generally) inflating right now, they didnt even deflate much at all.
3: The void star only dropped because it was lbing for horns, once they dropped it started recovering
4: Cwhp is at about the same value it was last year, it always drops this much. It was overinflated, but i do think ugcs had a *small* effect on it
5: Bigs, like stfs, haven't had much of a drop due to copies. They just pull slightly lower bc they had wayyy to much demand over the summer
I dont think a natural supply/demand cycle is proof of limiteds dying. Aureus is at an all time high and pulling massive ops, and thats true for almost all dominuses.
Limiteds arent "dead" at all.
Those who can afford these items will still pay for them, and weve seen this is true.

Some of the UGC models are copy and paste and thats bad and good
but I do just miss the old days where it was just rare to own a limited item.

4:40 I want to point out that this still doesn’t stop roblox from doing anything about it, it’s clearly meant to be a copy of a roblox item which was stated by roblox that “copies of roblox items are not tolerated”

First of all, Limiteds were a bad idea from the begining it was stupid, what made roblox paying 100 k dollars for a hat would've been a good idea? Scamming people, etc... Fiery at 1.1m is absolutely mental
Finally a UGC vid with 0 UGC goblins asking for the game name

Coming from someone with a fairly decent amount of limiteds, both expensive and not (mainly from trading, but also as a game developer), it's interesting to see just how creative people can get, and that is the ENTIRE reason why roblox was created. People like JustKevvy sit around and devalue the actual game itself.
