- On this episode The Haunted Side investigates the Donner Tunnels just west of Truckee, California. The tunnels took 15 months to build and were decommissioned in 1993. Over the years people have claimed to hear strange noises and see strange shadows move through out the tunnels.

Totally worth staying up for. The screaming 😱 was so clear. It was bone chilling. You weren’t kidding when you said there was a lot of activity. That shadow mass though 😮😮 Was on the edge of my seat with this one. Great episode and wow the clarity and intro shots were awesome. Great job guys.

In places like this, it's not the ghosts I would be afraid off. I would be more worried about some psycho serial killer hiding out from the police in the tunnels, or some crazy devil worshipping cult. I would definitely bring my sidearm with me on investigations like this.

Great video. It makes me feel sad to see the graffiti. This is a piece of history and many probably lost their lives while working under horrific conditions. I don't understand why or how people can go in and deface these places. They have no respect for the poor people who suffered while being used as slave labor. I can't even imagine how bad it was back then. Thank you for showing us this. It really makes me appreciate my life today.

It's interesting what the SLS figure does right at the end there. Makes one think it's a legitimate capture. If it was a glitch, you'd expect it to disappear as abruptly as it appeared or maybe just stay there indefinitely. The way it sort of jittered and the like is interesting. As you watch it and it starts to behave like that, you actually get the intuition/feeling it's preparing to vanish. And then it does.

As a 30 year old, I experienced my first encounter with a humanly figure while I was staying in a cabin for the past 8 days, I've seen it twice. Two days in a row. I cried my eyes out, I was so scared. I am very sensitive to energies, and only recently trying to accept this part of me. Would never in a million years think that I would ever see something most people can't.. Had to share this with you guys. Xo

Time stamp 12:53 if u look closely a white figure goes if you are looking at the tumble down it goes left to right then u seen it go right to left if your looking down that tunnel but I first seen it go from left to right a white figure. Great catch guys.

Out of curiosity, what kind of rock is used for those tunnels? Limestone? Qaurtz? Qaurtz actually can store memories, energies and is known for recording hauntings, as in residual haunts. Limestone has about the same effect. It also stores energy, electricity. A lot of hauntings are built on these two elements and I've always found it fascinating how a rock can
"store" these spirits.
i’m not sure, but I know these mountains are full of quartz and granite.

Hi Patrick, wow, the spirit on the SLS was so different! I thought it was weird how it looked like a dancer, lol, and it appears to touch you on your arm and look at you. I didn't feel like it was aggressive, as it had plenty of opportunities to hurt you.
That was wild. The spirit was very curious. The noises in the tunnels were unnerving though!! Great video!! 💪😊
