Friuli Venezia Giulia and Istria are completely different. My mom was born in Monfalcone FVG and my dad in Istria. Istria is now under croatia but it was always Istria
I know that FVJ and Croatia are different. I meant that my family comes from Istria, which before WW2 was under the Italian flag. My parents birth certificates show them as Italian not Croats or Yugoslavian.
