Love this guy. Every Friday I go up to my gf and say ITS FRIDAY FOOL...AND YOU NEED THIS TOOL!... Goes over horribly every single time but it's still cracks me up. Keep up the good work my brother. #fabfridayfool
The man says it's good stuff. The question is should I beg, borrow, or Steel-It?😜😶 My apologies... Coming up on 300,000 subscribers, Kyle.👊 Have a great weekend, brother!
Just used this on my C10 build for the chassis and suspension. Coverage is pretty good - if you have the ability to have what you are painting blasted do so, makes a huge difference to how it adheres. Yes you can weld through it, has problems getting a good ground but once that is sorted not a problem
I use shark hide on my raw steel bash bars and roll cage to protect it from oxidizing. If I neglect it, rust will form. I just buff it out with scotch bright pads and then coat it again 🦈 apparently hot rodders use the same stuff to keep the rustic patina look
Steel it is good stuff used it for years and in a wet environment never seen anything rust that was painted with steel it and we use to apply it directly to metal.
I have used it on big pipe guard rails in a cold wet environment still looked good after years of abuse I have also use it on aluminium valve covers and timing covers that was stained up from a lot of years racing I just cleaned them up with a wire wheel and sprayed them work good .give it a try it is low maintenance.
Hey, I have a rust spot on the internal stainless steel wall of my dishwasher. Do you think this can work on it? Or do you have another suggestion to fix that? Thanks.
At first glance this paint seems perfect... But it has no rust inhibiting properties like zinc/sulfur. The 2 different types of metal touching will even cause more rust. All paint is weld through as you are burning it off. With a good weld pool it will come to the surface with the silicon in your wire. But do you know what happens when you weld stainless steel to carbon steel? It weakens the weld. They are not compatible at all and fatigue will crack it eventually. It is more abrasion resistant at least.
Always enjoy “you need this tool” episodes and when you built your shop

Can you use surface painted with it as a ground point for electronic or do you need to grind it down like normal paint ?

How often do you do it
Great video... I’m gonna have to try that stuff out on my 34 Coupe build. 😎👍🏼
It's also used in food plants when you have to build somthing out of carbon but need it to be corrosion resistant pretty good stuff
Can you get high polish on the steel it?
Been using steel it for quite a while. Great product.
Did u applied finish paint or primer over it?
Rizky Hiramadhan nope. Neither. Clean part. Paint. Move on.
Steel it is good stuff used it for years and in a wet environment never seen anything rust that was painted with steel it and we use to apply it directly to metal.
Sounds good. Did you applied primer or paint over it? Im considering to apply steel it over bare metal and spray finish paint over it
Never used primer with it
@@billpage2828 ok sir. But how about finish paint over it?

Always coming in clutch

Thanks.
Are there any specific steps to do before using Steel It on aluminum?
Been wanting to try some of that for a while now , maybe on some suspension components
Yes they did...with the black steel-it.
Can you show in video when you weld on the Steel-It paint?

Right at 7:00 mark he starts to cut the metal and weld it.
Thanks
Good stuff to know
I’m here because it’s Friday

I would murder for a sponsorship from those guys like Hoonigan has
Fame and fortune is coming your way.👊😉
Thank you sir!!! its friiiiiday fool!
I've never had good luck with Sharkhide.
Thank you very much for this usefull video
I had to step away for a while there but im back!
Can it protect aginst rust aswell
Have you seen the attachment someone sells on eBay for the Milwaukee m12 cut off tool to turn it into a 18x1/2 or 13x1/2 band sander/file
I'd love e to see how this compares in durability against Cerakote stainless steel color, and Cerakote clear for metal
Does your wife ever ask you, “Don’t you think you have ENOUGH tools?!”
can it be used on a stainless steel griddle? or stove top grates?
How does this do vs POR15?
Do you need to use primer first with Steel-it.
Im hopimg this will work on my 2nd gen dodge mud racing truck frame
Its good stuff
Who you calling a fool? Giraffe neck!
does anyone know what can be used on stove grates or griddles after scrubing them clean to be able to cook on them again
Dang Kyle, I swear you've been reading my mind lately haha
Same here, wiring my C10 and been thinking of redoing my frame with this. Crazy timing
Will it work on aluminum?
Yes.
How is actual coverage ?
Orange peel isnbad
Friday fool 👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌
to bad this stuff doesn't come in a clear, I'm finishing my truck in raw metal.
Muy bn
First!
👍👍🇨🇱

You most definitely can weld stainless to carbon using 309 or 312 wire.
Video intros are so god damn annoying! I guarantee im not the only one that says this
