    The main thing as a ball handler is to always keep your defender off balance you dont necessarily have to be fancy with it or have the best crossover just keep him moving

    • @nama022
      @nama022 7 лет назад +5

      Exactly. There are guys that are not so quick but have killer timing in the handles. They read you instinctively and it seems that your D is always two steps behind, and most of all, it looks soooo easy. CP is the top level of that.

      We should take Gold in the FIBAS

    • @Jkwl09
      @Jkwl09 10 лет назад

      My theory is FIBA, some players probably look at FIBA as a waste of time, and they dont get paid, i can understand why they dont play. My theory with all professional athletes, i feel their priority list is 1. Get a Max contract then 2. win a chip...FIBA medals will never be respected on your hall of fame resume. I feel players only do FIBA because they can practice with the BEST players. I dont really think they care about playing SPain and argentina

      CP3 is the #1 PG every season, hands down. Curry is on a hot streak, and can shoot lights out, but CP3 is a overall better player. He actually plays elite defense, and can control a teams tempo. Every single season his teams are top 5 on offense, no matter who his teammates are.

    When looking at the definition of a True point guard Chris Paul is clearly the best and second would have to be either Rondo or Parker when healthy. Looking at today's definition of a point guard You got the Westbrooks, Roses, Kyries, J Walls of the league it all depends on how you look at the point guard position to decide who's the best

    • @freestylerandmc101
      @freestylerandmc101 9 лет назад

      He is aggressive and dominant in the NBA, but you don't win games by trying to crossover everyone with every possession you have. He closes out games when he needs to, one of the best passers in the history of the sport, very high Ball IQ, above average defender, what more could you ask for.

    • @texrex3
      @texrex3 9 лет назад

      Misread my quote. Many a small player and Isaiah Thomas from the Pistons comes to mind, who took care of their teammates, but dominated when it was crunch time. Too many times the Clippers get bounced in the playoffs, and in the highlights, Chris Paul is nowhere to be seen. There's an APB out for him. Can't say that for a Tony Parker, or a Damian Lillard. You lose, but you go down swinging, not just assiting. Domination, not crossovers, man.

    all this chris paul hate.....Chris Paul is the best pg now, anybody who ever played the position might like rose, westbrook or curry but they know people like Paul, Parker, and wall are the TRUE point guards....mainly because they set up the tempo they control the speed of the offense, they make the best decisions, they know where their teammates good spots are and when a teammate is open enough to score they know to score when they have to...Paul had one bad game in the playoffs, the rest of the playoffs he played AMAZINGLY WELL,

    • @freestylerandmc101
      @freestylerandmc101 9 лет назад

      Yeah due to his team flopping when he needed them the most. And Wall still has a LOT to learn and needs to curb his attitude, still.

    Coming from a Golden State Warriors fan, CP3 is a better overall point guard than Steph Curry. CP3 is in his prime as a player, has played longer and has accomplished more. He is also an elite defender. I believe five or six time NBA All defensive team. Curry is going into his prime, so we'll see what happens the next few years. Either way, he's a different type of point guard.

      @Amjbmcg 10 лет назад +1

      Greatest handle ever, by far, because of his insane Jordanesque competitiveness and work ethic. He works. He makes the most passes, gets most assists, score 20ppg but turns the ball over less than any all star, or perimeter all star, some big men don't get involved enough to turn it over a lot.

    When your talking about the full job of a point guard, CP3 is THE best point guard in the league. No doubt. Derrick Rose is a complete Boss, but he just slightly lacks the passing ability and complete handles that Chris has. Now if you were talking about who is the best PLAYER between the two, I'd have to go Derrick Rose.

    • @freestylerandmc101
      @freestylerandmc101 9 лет назад

      lol yeah it's a pretty hard one because I love both of them and they do everything they can to get their teams the win, but Chris is Point Guad due to his experience and high ball IQ. You're right, Rose probably doesn't have advanced handles like Paul (who practices on them like breathing) but obviously he has fucked a lot of ankles on the court his first 4 years, and still does it today.

      Darnell Kirkland Yeah go ahead and ignore Rose coming off of 2 years of injury. Kyrie didn't "run his spot," if you bothered to pay attention to the USA series, the Bulls just wanted to see him get his feet on the court for a bit before the preseason. The USA series didn't really matter in the large scope of his return, dude.

      Darnell Kirkland coming from Nj I am a big Kyrie fan (hate the cavs though) . With that being said D rose have and even stated the USA team was for rhythm. He wanted to get used to playing in the NBA again. Which was the perfect time because unlike in the NBA when if he were to not play up to pare, he could be replaced. Let's be fair ! 2011 rose in a pick up game 1 on 1 no pg can guard that. The only one I could say is maybe Russell Westbrook. But then yet again even though he get steals he Is not very good at guarding fast players.
