Way back when Ted Williams was hitting 35 home runs, batting .340 and drawing 120 walks every year, Red Sox GM Joe Cronin refused to sign both Willie Mays and Jackie Robinson to help Williams out, because they were not the right "style" for the team. As a result of racism, the Red Sox forfeited their chances of winning AL championships and World Series.
The culture only really improved when Theo Epstein came in.

Rice and Brett were probably the best hitters in that era. By the way, my brother met Jim Rice on a 727, he said he was nice and gave him an autograph. He is from Anderson SC. This was 20 years or so after he played.

Chauvin, all cops are bad. It's like 2 things can't be right at the same time. It hurts the small brains of the victimhood culture. People in Boston can be racist. And most people in Boston are likely not racist. Chauvin deserves jail for brutality, but most cops by in large are good. All can be right.
