i couldnt agree more on the over all look of this megatron. I saw the toy on the shelf at target right before DOTM movie came out and i immediatly knew this was megatron, bought it mainly for the fact he's not messed up looking with the creepy gimpy hand that ROTF had, and he has a fusion cannon, i was joyous to see megatron with a fusion cannon. and the alternate mode is just killer, all mad max looking but screams nemesis prime or motormaster.
Before the review I read some people disliking this version of Megatron but I think he looks Great! The tarp or "hood" makes him look even more evil.I like he still has the face damage from ROTF.The tanker truck mode in my opinion fits him very well.
Megatron has kind of a O_o face going on LOL. But so far, Shockwave and Megartron are looking to be the only two movie three toys I'm interested in buying.
This is probably the first Bayformer that I'm tempted to buy. Also between the damage, the cape and the alt-mode (I can see the truck envy jokes flying over the net) I got a very Mad Max vibe from this new Megatron.
Been waiting for this review for awhile, he'll be the first Voyager DOTM figure i snag. I love collecting Megatrons, so I'd get him even if he looked bad, but luckily he looks fantastic. Great review!
I swear if it wasn't for the fact that i swore off all Movie figures I would get this figure, HE IS BEAUTIFUL!!! (the cape is a great touch, and ties in well with his alt mode, since it's a desert tanker.)

Megatron is a real jack of all trades..a gun, jet , helicopter, tank, starship, racecar, dinosaur, dragon, a giant bat, alligator, two-headed monster, tanker truck, floating head and a giant hand. He should have been called McGyver.
Just got it yesterday, and it looks amazing in personal. Although I prefer the ROTF Megatron Tri-changer, still he looks amazing. Definitely worth the money, His overall design is simple and the cape was a very nice touch. I'm looking forward to its DOTM leader class in the future.

Great review Peaugh! I got this figure. He was a "PIA" to transform the first time. I had a custom single handed shotgun blaster like cannon made forhim as he doesn't come with one like he had in the film.

I look forward to ur reviews of leader class meg and ULTIMATE OPTIMUS PRIME!!! Any idea right now when u might get those? I agree that he's certainly the most Megatrony looking Megatron. Leaps and bounds above the previous Movieverse designs Ironically he looks the least like a pile of scrap metal despite having an alt mode that could be described as a "pile of scrap metal" Don't give a darn about the movie, but I may be picking up my first Movieverse Megatron toy after this.
Great figure, the only tiny complaint I have is the knee joints are fairly loose in robot mode. I don't know if anyone else's is like that, but it can make it a bit tough to get him to stand sometimes.
This is a very nice voyager Megatron and the first fully accurate voyager Megatron from the movie line of Transformers. The only thing that is kind of off is his plasma canon. I wish his plasma canon looked like a rifle just like in the movie but I'm hoping for a leader class DOTM Megatron so we can get a fully 100% accurate Megatron.

If you are the former, then its just a matter of how long you will finish your collection, and it does not matter who comes 1st. but if you just wanna pick up a few, then its all up to u. Each of the transformer have their specific strength that could not be replaced by one another.

I love this figure, I just wish he was bigger and had the chains going around him. But, ya know. Still its a great toy! And everyone complains about him being a truck, come on really? I love it! Its new for a change. And a bit G1ish with that mounted cannon...

Watching the movie really makes me want this Megatron, I don´t know, it´s the only mold that I can imagine saying "cybertron, at last you're saved"... or something like that.
@SanderPatrick If Youre new to transformers you probably dont know that the transformers toyline is divided into six main size classes: Legends(Right Now Cyberverse),Scouts, Deluxes, Voyagers, Ultra (Movielines it is known as human alliance), And The Leaders. Another Division should be included known as the supremes but since it has very few toys it is ignored. The DOTM Ultimate prime and ROTF Devastator are included in the supreme size class.
Do we know if there will be a Leader Megatron in this line ?? I haven't seen any pics or even heard rumors, they pretty much filled all the Leader spots for at least the first few waves... Leader Megs or Shockwave??? At all??
Megatron actually did a good job of hiding his gun, unlike everyone else. Oh wait, Starscream hid it okay-ish too... why are the AUTOBOTS the ones with the weapons in plain view?

It's good to see that Megatron is now having an earthly alt mode that's neither a tank nor a gun.

I'm glad this time Megatron is an actual hidden vehicle, and not just those cybertron versions where he just kind of folds up and doesn't hide at all.

"Death of the Moon" Megatron is very unique; I like it! I don't believe that any Megatron has ever been a truck before.

i hated the design initially when i first saw some pics, but after watching your review, i'm starting to really dig the design.
By far, this is my favorite Megatron out of all the movies. I'm just glad he's not transforming into a vehicle that's part alien anymore lol :P

The whole cloak thing gives me a Dr. Doom vibe. He also reminds me of Beast Machines Megatron alot. Really looking forward to him and Shockwave.

I find it strange how megatron didnt have a huge part in this movie.He's the decepticon leader, but he didnt show up very often. I find that strange.
Im liking the larger figures of the DOTM line.. Sentinel Prime looks good, Megs looks good as well as prime with the trailer ..

i like how there making the transformations more simple (closer to g1, maybe)
