Sorry, it took so long to get Tour Vlog 2 done. There is always a lot going on while traveling every other day. Plus I am shooting a ton of content for both myself and Sweetwater while on this tour. Keeping everything organized is a full-time job in itself.
In this vlog, you will see some of my adventures with Mr Big while in Japan. A little bit from our shows in Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo. There are some travel bits, behind-the-scenes at the venues, and a little bit of concert footage from all three venues. All the footage is either shot from a GoPro or iPhone.
The shows in Japan were incredible. The venues were amazing to discover and play at. The Mr Big crew doing such a great job taking care of us and getting our gear ready for every gig. The UDO group in Japan was beyond fantastic! I also got to share the experience with my wife Tiffany. She braved traveling all the way to Japan on her own to be with me and we had a great time together. Then the icing on the cake were the fans at all the shows. Such passion for the band and so much fun to entertain. These gigs were some of the biggest of my life. Calling it fun does not adequately describe the experience. It was awesome!
A special prize goes out to the person figuring out how many times I say "SO COOL" in this vlog. HA! It's way too many times but I couldn't help it. It was all...SO COOL!!! Vlog 3 will be up as soon as possible. Thanks for watching and cheers!

Hi all! I just wanted to pop on here myself and say a huge thank you to the Udo team and to all the guys in the band. They welcomed us so warmly and genuinely. I’m so grateful. I’ve never seen a tour operate so smoothly and so first rate. ❤ I had the absolute best time and the concerts were incredible considering they had very limited rehearsal time and only one gig in China under their belt. I’ve never seen fans like the fans in Japan. The Japanese are so wonderful. The country is so clean and beautiful, even the subway tracks have to trash on them. No graffiti. I can’t wait to go back. Nick sounded so great playing with the rest of the guys, I thought they sounded so good and they let Nick play loud! Yes! And you do deserve it, but now everyone knows how sappy we are. Blown away by the hospitality we were shown. Arigato.

Dude honestly it makes me emotional watching these. I’m such a Mr. Big fan, and losing Pat was sad. But seeing you in that seat and being so humble and grateful and everything going so well, it makes me genuinely happy. You sound amazing dude.

Don't know about you guys but I have bought a lot of things for my drums from Sweetwater thanks to Nick on the Sweetwater videos via YT . Nick, in your Vlog you mention something that rarely gets mentioned in the context of working with a band...and that's "how good is the hang". The fact that the organization embraced you AND your wife speaks volumes of the character of the people around you.

Fun fact - the first time I got to see you live was with Fates Warning in Atlanta, years and years ago, which was amazing. At one point I was near the back of the room and all of sudden you walked past - without really thinking I slapped you on the back and said "Great job up there!" and my friends were like, dude...

Thanks for doing these Nick, not only for the behind the scenes stuff, but for showing your excitement for playing. I've never played any rooms that big and probably never will, but that thrill of getting ready to walk on stage with a crowd going nuts, hitting the first note and everything still sounds good from sound check and you start rocking...nothing like it in the world.
Nick seems to be a cool guy and, of course, he is a great drummer as well! Very nice!

It has been a few years since a hurricane almost cancelled our show in Myrtle Beach at the House of Blues, but the band played and it was such a wonderful night. Can't wait to do it again with you all!
