@@user-du6jb6lt7z You can't fix peaky treble with such a simple and crude modification. You can't really fix it with EQ either, but it'll still bring somewhat better results.
Hi Gizaudio, I found popping an Oxygen filter on each nozzle really smoothes the 2k peak out. Really enjoyable set to listen to now 😁 Previously I was only using my Stellaris on my B4-X, which helped smooth things a bit. However, listening to it straight on my DX300 now 😁
@@juanblanco7898 You can fix the amplitude with a precise EQing and get rid of peaks, what's not fixable is the 'ringing' at the corrected frequency, that's because most peaks in the highs are results of standing waves (a common problem for all inears). Deeper fit helps to shift the probs to higher frequencies (etymotic, Final Audio), sometimes damping in the sound canal can help a little if enough energy is present.
Hi, thanks for the EQ preset. I listened to a log sweep using that preset, and I noticed cymbal strikes remaining too far forward. I added a 2dB drop at 8k with a Q of 5 and shifted the 2.2k drop to 2.3k, and to my ears it smoothes out the tonality more. I'm shocked honestly at how good these sound for such a low price. I'm looking forward to moondrop's future offerings planar wise.
To be fair, it is based on Timmy's target and we tweaked from there. I also like the foam tips that came with it so you may need to continue tweaking with your setup but I tried to boil it down to a manageable number of filters.
Maybe a misstep in the tuning, but Moondrop pulled off a few tricks on their planar implementation and shell at a reasonable price. Maybe as you said, a test run for the next one. Thank you

hello!
ok....pass
pretty disappointed to be honest. Moondrop has been really consistent. But this one looks like it has been rushed just to jump on the latest planar hypetrain.
FIRRRRST
nope lol
@@Gizaudio lmao, hey man im newbie tat the earphone market i have a cca cra and i want to buy a good earphone i was thinking a bout the Moondrop variations you think i should start by something more simple ?
@@joaofreitas7408 variations has a odd fit be careful. I suggest the Kato more friendly fit for all
@@joaofreitas7408 variations are great, moondrop qc isn't. First pair started buzzing and my replacement pair now has a crunchy faceplate.
Something more simple and cheaper is better if you are new. You should find out more of what signature you prefer before buying something expensive. I suggest trying Moondrop Kato, Seeaudio Yume Midnight, or Letshuoer S12 first.
I bought moondrop after watching this review and now the left side has no sound.... I am regretting it
Go get your warranty
Seems like a Moondrop cosmetic job
