This is the Angel version of the Boss DM-2, just the go-to delay for every Angel band. It's the shower of sparkles I think I've been looking for, it just sounds so much less glitchy and artifact laden than any other shifted delay I've heard. And now I know that it's also a lovely chorus and a Rainbow machine too - I think I'm gonna have to find a way to get one.
Thanks guys for breaking this one down. It’s a very complex pedal but if you can master the alchemy it’s just beautiful. Bought this one about a year and haven’t even scratched the surface , mainly because I didn’t have the time or patience to read and understand the manual and the theory of what I was doing. I’m definitively going back at it with this videos help. Great stuff guys 👏
I have this pedal and love It, but I have to say that you NEED Midi to even begin to enjoy It. It has too many functions for you to remember what you liked. Even the factory presets you can only recall via MIDI. But it is absolutely worth it. An astonishing pedal
Don’t sleep on this pedals chorus capabilities. Lol the other features are incredible as well but man that chorus is lush I did a recording session with it recently and the artist was very impressed with the chorus tone.
I looked at a few pedals like this and ended up going with the Boss PS-6 Harmonist. It does 2- and 3-part harmonies in major or minor, it's a pitch shifter, a Detune, and it has an effect called "S-bend" which is where you select what note and register you want it to bend up or down to, and then when you hit the pedal- it bends the note you're playing up or down to what you selected. I haven't even gotten into all of what it does- I just wanted to play some of the Metallica leads where they're harmonizing guitars- it does it perfectly. Wasn't that expensive either- I think about 170$ if I remember right. It's a fun pedal to play with. It's also a Doubler because if you leave it on 2 part harmony and select the same pitch you're already at- it just doubles whatever you play. Or you can do a 3rd, a perfect fifth, 3-part harmonies- it's nuts.
Thanks for the great demo! Interesting mix of delay & pitch. Seems like you could make it sound like the "Mosaic" setting of the Microcosm (which is the only Microcosm setting I really care about, frankly). Could you gents give it a try with, say, harmonics at a fifth up, an octave up and 2 octaves up, with increasing delay times on each? Thanks!
Very well done fellas, especially digging the vibe with Gabor playing toward the end on his JM. 😎 Have you done a vid with the Meris Enzo previously (I don't recall)? I really like that pedal, I know it would be extremely useful, I'm just not at the level where I'd put it to good use in a recording situation. However, I still keep checking it out. 😆 Cheers. 👉🎸🎶
Hi! I’ve been wanting one of these since they launched but held off because I already have a pitchfork which pretty much does what I need it to. How well does the tracking compare? Did you notice any sort of digital sound like you get with the pitchfork? It’s hard to tell from the demos, but it definitely sounds closer the original guitar’s timbre than the pitchfork does when bumping the pitch up. What about using it for synth and tracking/timbral changes? Thanks for the demo!
any chance you can make a comment on the quality of pitch shift harmonizing in this hedra vs the harmonizer in the mod duo / dwarf? im on the fence between using my whole pedal board and a hedra or using a mod dwarf for harmonized ambient violin stuff.
Guys as always a great review and a mind blowing pedal but as per my other comment just a bit to complicated for me personally to want to rush out an buy it
This is probably the most comprehensive video on how this pedal works and why. Those charts are great!
Thank you!!

The Hedra is a tremendous instrument. Musicians need to check this baby out!

Can I use this as a standard pitch shifter? For example, if I wanted to go from E to F with only the wet signal on?

great vid!
how do i set the pitches to „unison“, just the same pitchposition but no delay? or via a sub/menu knob setting?
