  • The cats out of the bag. Colt is moving to New Mexico, even though I will be going back and forth between South Dakota for a bit and filming in both locations. I haven't been in the state for very long and @MattsOffRoadRecovery asked if I would come out for a rescue. Since the Smoke Show S10 still hasn't been on a legit recovery, we thought it would be a perfect time to see if it has what it takes to rescue vehicles as well as drive on rocks. This is one steep cliff and worthy of a badge for tough recoveries, especially since nobody else would come get it!! You'll enjoy this one.

Stay close to Albuquerque for the UNM Hospital. Taos and north is tough to find a doctor let alone a good doctor. Santa Fe has choices. Just beware. I didn't really think I would need a doctor, but got throat cancer in 2020. It wasn't a fun time. Driving 3.5 hours to appointments made it worse.

What I envisioned was making the tow truck into a reverse yarder.
Send someone to rappel down using the first boom winch line. Secure the line to the truck or a tree and tighten it. Sling the tires to the winch line with snatch blocks and soft shackles. Send the tires and other equipment down in pairs while controlling the descent with the second boom winch line.
The good thing about these videos is, even when the pulling becomes long and tedious to watch, you can glance up and see some beautiful scenery.
