Great visualization for triathlon swimming. www.swimsmooth.com
Bill is certainly from the "FQ camp"(so to speak). What is critically important to notice with Bill's stroke however(akin with the likes of his team-mates, Thorpe and Hackett),is that whilst he appears to be "catching-up" as you call it,he never actually pauses within his stroke and is always smoothly flowing from one stroke to the next.
Exactly jewishreverend, this is why this is only a snippet of the full Swim Smooth DVD Boxset. The full version contains all the technical input you will need to improve your stroke. Visit swimsmooth dot com for more details and free articles on how to improve your swimming.

Hi, I'm trying to "push my buoy" to get the downhill sensation but not really getting anything...
I'm keeping in FQS and rolling my torso, but on the side I don't breath to, I am having trouble stopping my head from turning with my body.
any suggestions on strokes per length in a 33 yrd pool if I'm training for open water?
Cheers
Matt

I breathe every 3 strokes too. I like the way thig guy swims. I just noticed his right goes very high during recovery...is there a reason for that?
