Do you wish you had someone in your closet to help answer your fashion and wardrobe questions? Today, I'm with my sister, Jennifer, answering all her current closet challenges. She recently went through a major life change (retiring) and remodeled her closet, which has led to new issues that she's not sure how to address. We'll make a few small changes to her wardrobe that will make a big difference in helping her clear out the clutter and easily get dressed every morning.

Hello Jennifer.😁 Clothes are crazy living with 4 seasons when you have NO extra storage. I keep all 4 seasons in one closet. Right now Spring & Summer is in front. Fall is in the back side of one, Winter is on back side of other. I got tired of all that moving around when are seasons go so fasr. Sometimes we can have all 4 seasons in one day in Ohio.😁 This way works for me.😁
Hello from Australia! I'm the same! I keep all of my clothes in one small wardrobe 🤗 We have four distinct seasons here too (I'm in the lower, cooler region of the country). It forces me to be very mindful of what I keep.

Nancy, you are a wonderful and helpful sister! Winter clothes should be stored in another closet or another area of the house in the summer. Change back when the seasons change.

So nice to see your sister and I love her sweater hanging trick. I'll definitely be using it. Also, I have a walk-in closet and I swap out the contents twice a year....spring/summer and fall/winter. This way you only have access to the things you are wearing.

Just declutterred all my XL clothes and put them in a couple of bins - I’m working on losing weight and am down to med/large but keep holding on to the bigger clothes just in case….lets see how this goes

Yes! One time I got my mom to help me and she’s since passed away so it’s such a fond memory. She kept trying to toss these… sandals- 😊 but I had to wear them in a wedding.

I loved this! Your sister is adorable. And unrelated random comment but I’d be interested in a transition to grey video. You and your sister have great hair. My hairdresser is going a shade lighter each appointment and she said it should take a year? The struggle with roots is real😮

I still have some long sleeve shirts in my closet. I’ve just been too lazy to take them out. Some are thin enough, but it gets too hot where I live to wear them. Now one of my granddaughter’s is coming to stay with us. So I have to clean out the guest room closet of all the dresses I never wear so she can hang some clothes. I have been meaning to do that for months now. And I’m going to have to now.

Love the sweater hanging hack, but just NO on the vacuum sealing your off-season clothes. Permanent wrinkles are often the result. Get big totes - 18 or 20 gallon, and put your things in those. They can go in the basement or attic, or, in my closet, they fit under my hanging shirts.

I retired and I declutterred my closet and now I have room for winter and summer clothes in my closet and I declutterred shoes and bags as well. I put winter on the bottom rack and summer on the top rack. Dresses as well slips on one rack. Winter coats in a coat closet and I also paired down. I did this to my closet and my husband’s as well. After this I realized I had way too much and this also helped me to pair down on all our stuff. ❤love your videos and thank you
