Some streamer/vloggers that I've watched will have a VOD channel to upload the whole VODs to, but then also work in clips from the VODs into their regular channel vlogs. This can entice people to come watch the stream, or watch the VOD channel, while also "padding out" the regular vlogs.
Streaming is SO FUN!!! I'm so glad you're loving it as well! Your community is so sweet already, too. I think sometimes grabbing clips from the stream could help making more footage for videos
That’s such a good idea, having a Mod or regular community members take that on can be so helpful. I know another creator who’s discord has a clips channel for posting links.
The rug turned out beautiful! I’m new to tufting and have never used a second adhesive to attach the backing. I cut the rug down when it’s slightly tacky, fold over edges and slap on the backing. Then hot glue the edges. It’s worked for me every time! Thanks for making awesome content and inspiring new tufters 🤩
had to pause half way. im so happy you are so excites and happy i cant make the streams but i watch every you tube vid you upload just wanted to make sure you are looking after you too i dont want you to burn yourself out ❤
Honestly, streaming 3 days a week is so much! I was surprised when you said you were doing that many. Don't burn yourself out thinking you have to keep up that schedule. Most streamers I watch wouldn't be able to maintain that let alone create additional content elsewhere. If it works for you, awesome! Keep it up. But if you need to cut back a bit somewhere it's 100% understandable.
Yay! Congrats on Twitch affiliate! I had a feeling they would approve your application right away. My husband and I are planning to start streaming on twitch soon too. My bestie streams and it's always such a fun time so we're diving in to do it too ❤
There’s a few makers that don’t do the waterfall edging and put the backing on right away. They cut pretty close to the border. I haven’t tried it yet, but some people do it and don’t mind the look. Not sure about longevity and fraying, but wonder if you can put some sort of fabric glue along the edge then.
So I just started tufting and I’ve been watching tons off videos yours and others and a method I believe I saw on rug babe’s channel was using a mesh backing and she applied glue like you did and with mesh backing she cut really close to the end… it gave like a see through backing and she says it’s non slip I hope that makes since I have one more tub of Henry’s and I was gonna give it a go love you videos to absolute death❤
I wonder if fusible interfacing might work for attaching the backing. But I'm not sure how it would interact with the other elements of the rugs like the latex stuff or if the iron/heat needed would damage those parts. I would definitely test anything new out on a smaller piece like the squares rather than on one of your beautiful unique rugs.
Problem with the streaming (for me anyway) is that for those of us that can't watch the stream, we can't see it on You Tube. I can't get twitch. So I appreciate the videos on here.
Not sure if this will make sense or be time effective but could you put the glue in the middle about a few inches from the edge and put the backing on, let it dry and then do the remaining edge, let that dry, cut it off and then just have to do a second layer of the glue on the edge?
Is water base contact cement from Lepage can work of for this? I love this glue for many things, I don't know if it works with those materials, but it can be a solition?
Ok so for us old people that don’t know how to access the streams or Twitch can you post a quick how to? I tried to check out the first one last week and I was baffled.
hey!! Here's a link to Artsy's Twitch channel. 👉 www.twitch.tv/theartsymadwoman You could watch at her scheduled times regardless of whether you join the platform or not. However, if you would like it to be a little more interactive (which I would recommend) then click the purple "Sign Up" button in the upper-right corner of the page. Here you will create a username & password. Confirm your account creation via phone/email, and you're done!
I would much prefer the RUclips videos. Because I only really use RUclips. I’ll miss you so much if you’re not posting here much anymore. I may try twitch. But I hesitate because I don’t want another app.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of Twitch. Idk, I've followed people there before but I always end up canceling membership and just following them on youtube instead. I do enjoy the streaming, but I prefer the RUclips streaming

The streams have been so fun! I won't always be able to catch them live but I'll make them when I can.
I'm having such a blast getting to "hang out" with you on stream and see the tufting progress in action!
The rug looks BEAUTIFUL!! And congrats on affiliate!!💜💜
It was just a dabble. A taste of whats to come and how it all works 😉. Im glad you are keeping everyone updated the way you are ❤️ keeping it real 😎.

Always take a break when you need to, do what’s best for you. You’re a HUMAN BEING fully entitled to complain sometimes 😂❤

Is there a way I can reach out to you about music?

I don’t want to lose videos. What about 2 streams and 2 videos per week 😢
you can gradually become allergic to latex if you use/are around it a lot even if you aren't now so be careful. Latex allergies suck (I have one)
