I love your channel! You bring a new insight into the cross stitch world! I love the stitch pattern site of all the mini art works. I plan to get some of my husband’s favorites and stitch for him. Thank you for introducing them to us! Thank you for taking the time to produce your videos!
I'm thinking....men, for centuries, judged, valued, wrote about the women in these paintings. If the subjects of these paintings become unknowable by not offering a window into the soul, it disrupts that, and challenges the viewer's assumption that they are entitled to that access. Let the women in these paintings retain their mystery by subverting that ease of access.....their inner world remains theirs.
Another great floss tube. I loved seeing all the patterns you own, especially the minis were interesting to see how the work translated into stitching patterns. You are definitely hooked on stitching with the big list of patterns already owned. I am looking forward to seeing which patterns are on your wish list. The idea of a mini cross stitched gallery wall is fascinating to me and I hope you are still making floss tubes when it comes to fruition. Happy stitching.
I love seeing another young person on Flosstube! It’s really exciting that so many new people are joining the community. I’ve loved all your videos so far, especially the variety in your projects and your obsession with data lol
Enjoyed seeing the patterns you own, I also have all the mini art patterns and have stitched a few. Would love to see what you hope to stitch. Great flosstube as usual!
I adore the mini art pieces and the idea of a wall of those. My mom loved bugs so I find beetles absolutely gorgeous. The Luna moth is my favorite though!! And lady bugs. My other favorite is the dragonfly! And YES on the wish list! You already qualify as a master enabler ; )
Oh my goodness! The LolaCrowDesigns! My husband has this thing with hiding small cutouts of Big Foot in our artwork through out the house. 😂 I’m totally getting the kitteh & Sasquatch x-st pattern!!
Awesome idea to show your pattern stash! Sometimes I forget what I even have if I don't check mine for a long time 🤣 usually just buy new ones and start them.
It’s so easy to forget! I have a tab in my tracking sheet with the names of all I’ve purchased but haven’t stitched so that I can easily reference them to pick what to start next or what to fill my WIPGO board with.
You may have already seen it, but Sprouting Lupine has a mushroom pattern on her etsy that I love! I just did the Love Bugs Sampler, but am sorely tempted to also do the Mushy Valentine one as well. :) Also, thanks for getting me hooked on the mini paintings! I can't wait to get one of my own and stitch it up! Love your channel, love the data, and science-y feel! :D
I have! I think it’s so neat too - I would love to color convert it (pink isn’t my go to). I’m glad you like the mini paintings, I think they are awesome!!! And thank you so much for the kind words ❤️
After one of your first videos, where you showed your miniatures, I went to the site and bought 12. They are so appealing. Also, really like your channel.
I just love your updates..what I cannot understand how you manage to keep so upto date with the stitch count...how do you do it ?? you are so organised !!
Thank you! I would never be able to without pattern keeper! With it, it actually isn't too hard, I just update the total stitches I have completed on each pattern before I film to get the new number!
Yes, it’s an Android app, so you have to use it on a device that runs android software. You tap or click stitches you’ve completed and mark them as finished! It works best with digital patterns typically. Definitely take a look at the pattern keeper website or other Flosstubers videos about it for more details!
I got rid of the eyes and fine details in the mini art patterns and loved them so much more. and please please please show us your future pattern picks, it'd be so interesting to see!
I love all the mini art patterns and I also have about 20 that I want to do. I'm not sure how I feel about removing the facial features from the patterns. On the one hand it makes sense because you still get the point of the picture but I love the eyes in portraits. I can't explain it, but sometimes you can feel the subject and painter in the eyes. But crossstitch is different and I would love to see the interpretation. Great video!
I totally get that. I think if the cross stitch pattern was big enough, keeping those detailed features would be much more effective! But with such a small pattern I feel like two black squares almost has the opposite effect lol
While I understand removing the eyes from the girl with a pearl earring, I would hesitate on Frida Kahlo, simply because her eye's and especially her eyebrow is a very important part of her portraits, so I'm not sure it would really look right without it.
Great point, and I feel like the eyes in the pattern look better somehow? I wonder if keeping the brow but removing the eyes would work? I definitely will be playing around with some ideas!
I always love seeing your updates. 💚
Thanks Dad ❤️

Thank you, you are so sweet! The mini art patterns are amazing gifts, I’ve given so many to friends and family!
Thank you. I enjoyed seeing your patterns, especially the mushroom pattern! A lovely segment to your episode. Best wishes.
I'm so glad! I have a lot more mushroom patterns on my wishlist that I will share next week!
I think the no eyes idea is a super cool commentary on the male gaze over the centuries on these works. I vote yes!
Oooooo, say more please! Everyone's thoughts on this are making me even more excited to stitch them!

Really, how so?? 😊
I love see what your stitching and seeing what you're hoping to stitch next. From a fellow flosstuber (LadyRobyns) and UW grad! Go Dawgs!!
Thank you! Lovely to meet a fellow Husky!

I have a few other beetle patterns on my pattern wishlist! I’m excited to share it. It’ll be even more enabling than the last! 😆
Loved the pattern parade! Really liked the satin stitch one. The little cloud reminded me of the movie nope. 😅
I have never watched that! But oh man, all of Vita's patterns are gorgeous, you should totally check out her others as well!
Oh my goodness! The LolaCrowDesigns! My husband has this thing with hiding small cutouts of Big Foot in our artwork through out the house. 😂 I’m totally getting the kitteh & Sasquatch x-st pattern!!
Yes! Her patterns are gorgeous and hilarious, you should definitely pick that one up!

So many people have said this! I am so glad that the lovely designers are getting so much attention now :) And thank you so much!
Zweigart always has a red orange pattern on the one secure side of the fabric, that's how I identify which ones of mine are Zweigart.
Oh I didn't know that, thanks for the tip!!
Great progress on your WIPs. Love your new starts. Have a great week and happy stitching!
Thank you! You too!

@@STEMxSTITCH Thats interesting....is it an app? and how do you mark off the done stitches? I am still on paper version ;)

@@STEMxSTITCH Thanks a lot :)
It just blows my mind = the statistics you open with! I wonder what my lifetime of 50+ years stitching might be? I do love the # of finishes though!!
I would imagine you must have hit over a million in 50+ years!!
I got rid of the eyes and fine details in the mini art patterns and loved them so much more. and please please please show us your future pattern picks, it'd be so interesting to see!
That's so good to hear, glad I wasn't the only one who thought about doing this! I will definitely be sharing those next week then!
