I just got the same exact carryall because of your video I'm gonna and gonna build it up close to what yours looks like great video and enjoy your others aswell and seeing the brush crusher in action I may have to get one at some point keep up the work on the great videos have a great day
Hello Sir. It certainly was a good day for cleaning things up. You do have all the right equipment for the tractor. I just purchased the Carry All frame for my 1025R today. When I build the wood portion on it, I will be adding a 2" receiver (from Harbor freight) for pulling things around the yard. I don't have the bucket clamp-on receiver. In any case, good job and I continue to look forward to your videos and incite. Happy 2021
Always good to see you on Don working together. Builder's Square, what a blast from the past. My Dad used to send me to that place all the time. Glad to hear you got some protection when using the chainsaw.
You like the 1025r? I’m considering one. Looks to be just what I need to take care of my 23 acres. I’m a big Deere fan. I own 3 pieces of green but not a tractor. I’m using a Ford 2000 ‘66 model and at 70 it’s just too hard to drive. Your thoughts on it are welcome.
@@stanfromalabama443 FOR 23 ACRES i would think u would better to step up to the 2 series. i bought a 2520 the first yr they came out(in 2006) and it has done wonderful for me on my 5 acres(going on 1,200 hrs now) i have done a lot of mowing with mine, if i was still working it would of got traded for a 2038R--
@@stanfromalabama443 you can get a lot done with 1025R. Don't just take that off the table so quickly. it depends on what you will be doing. if it is pushing around logs and hauling stuff up and down, 1025R will be great. But any more, you might want to step up. Also, if your 23 acre is rocky and hilly, it will be another reason for a bigger tractor. 1025R has a relatively low clearance. I have a really crappy 1.5 acre. it is not a big land by any means but i cringe sometimes because of the rocks and uneven terrain.
Good job taking care of those log, Tom. I am glad to hear (!) that you got some hearing protection for Christmas. You should take a look at getting a LogOx for lifting those rounds. It really saves on the old back! Cheers!
I have the same splitter (more or less). They were designed by a company called Duerr I believe that MTD eventually bought. Mine was used commercially and shows it, but with a new harbor freight motor and some work the previous owner did (new cylinder and lines) it’s great.
Do you cover stacks of split wood so they don't get wet? i have been trying to keep them covered but i am wondering if it makes much difference? Great video, i love my 1025R. Endless possibilities with it.
Great video. Maybe cause I'm still in my 30s and been swinging ax my whole life but I could cut wood with min effort a lot quicker. You set them up I knock them down.
If you could put a rack on the log splitter it would sure make splitting easier on you. I love my rack, thinking about putting one on the other side also. Have a great day. Randy E
Have you ever thought about getting a bumper mounted reciever hitch. You could bolt it right thru the bottom of that carrier you built for your 3 point and put the log splitter on it too given how light the log splitter is. This way you could keep the bucket off and grapple on and travel straight (easier). You could get one for as little as $30.
Good video. Is that the carry all from tractor supply? Someone said the 1025r doesn't get it off the ground very far diento the height of the pins and top hook but it looks like you get it plenty high.
So Tom, I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess the title is perhaps a reference to Sir Elton circa 1983? BTW, nice job managing the pucker factor with both those logs in tow.
With that brush crusher attached, is the 1025R capable of grappling on to the very end of the log and lifting (essentially having most of the log outside of the grapple to be bucked up with a chainsaw). Or do you have to grapple these logs in the middle to lift them off the ground?
depends on the size of the log, too heavy and you could bend a loader are or worse tip. But I have done it with smaller diameter logs. Centering it is not a big deal as you can cut between the teeth.
I am thinking about getting a 1025R to haul wood around. How would the power hold up if you had to haul that carry all full of wood up a 20 degree incline for 30 feet?
I like the way the Brush Cruncher works. For an older splitter it does the job!

I love your below the tractor shot!!!
Nice jag of firewood !!
Looked to be a very enjoyable day outside...... except maybe for the part where the back end of the tractor was in the air. :-). Thanks for sharing!
Easy when you have the right equipment. Nice job. I want to get a brush crusher for my 1025R.

@@jamesfrazier1569 Thank you so much for the input. I’ll look at the 2038R. Have a blessed day.

I like the sledgehammer mount on the carrier. That’s obviously the firefighter in you.
Got that same Brush Crusher on a 2025r, love it!
Good job pushing that splitter up the narrow drive, I'd have had to edit the film several times!
Thanks 👍

Nice grapple work. I’m still learning with mine.
I also push trailers around the property. I find those short trailers difficult to back.
What is the critter by the drive?
You Guys made short work of that project you had the right tools for the job .

It's always nice cleaning up messes. Time for another wind storm. :-)

wow, is that "stock footage", or is the under side of your tractor always that clean?
Thumbs up for the title alone! You betcha

Cool video, what model grapple is that?
@ 2:45 is that poison ivy on the log ? I also have a carry all, its amazing how much can be hauled on back :)
Cool thx
Do you have the stihl chain sharpener to go with your chain saw ?

In low it should do just fine.
Your gas can looks like it has strep throat!
=O)
You need chaps!
